#A-Haydn-A-Day cult does #24. What a weird symphony. It's all fun stuff but the slow mvmt is actually not a symphony at all but a flute concerto! So nice solo yay! I had to take my flute out to play along. But then there's no flute elsewhere in the work. Huh. Weird. www.youtube.com/watch?v=BsKQ...

I'm an extreme introvert but I do have a couple friends I don't need to recharge my batteries after spending time with. And today we had a party: Hunanese food, a pot of tea, petting the doggo and some V. Novák for music. And I feel so good. Content and ready and rested for a new week at work. <3

It's the Daddy Haydn cult's #A-Haydn-A-Day for another of my personal faves, #49. There's a pretty sombre minor key mood throughout except for the trio. This is the last of the sonata da chiesa slow-fast-slow minuet-fast symphonies. The fast movements have real drive going on. The slow is sombre!

#A-Haydn-A-Day cult does #39. The 1st and last mvmts suggest this might be first of the Sturm und Drangs with their dramatic pauses and changes between loud/soft and dramatic/lyrical. But the slow mvmt is just galant. So maybe a transitional piece from early to S&D Haydn? Anyway, lovely music IMO.

Why is there so much Brahms hate on my timeline? :D Now I get that people have different tastes and everything but I want some Brahms love now. I'll go listen to some of his symphonies with Bruno Walter. Walter was great in Brahms. Oh, and his clarinet music is awesome. What's your fave Brahms? :D

I keep losing classical music mutuals who are lgbtq+. Am I being queer somehow wrong if so many queer mutuals stop following me? And yes, obviously, everyone should absolutely follow and unfollow anyone they please. But when I see a combo of queer + classical music suddenly unfollow I get scared.

I put a pink flower hair tie on today and a customer called it cute and brave. :D What do you think? Should we tell about my inspiring act of bravery to the people fighting on the front? I would be such inspiration porn for them for wearing a pink hair tie. I mean I'm the real brave one here. :D

#A-Haydn-A-Day cult does #71. It doesn't seem apocalyptic enough considering all the scary news about wars spreading. Galant stuff. Lovely flute&bassoon duet in the slow mvmt. I might need Shosty rather than galant classicism now, however.
