I’ve been reading the original Hunchback of Notre Dame Novel and though I am terribly late to any sort of conversation regarding it for obvious reasons, I am appalled that they adapted Phoebus to be Esmeralda’s (proper) love interest in the Disney movie/musical. That guy is a scumbag!
