UK TTRPG sellers and creators - my part time job has a venue and my boss is interested in giving a very low cost table/platform to sellers for a market weekend and supporting grass roots games. He's letting me open it up to indie makers for £20 a table. Gauging interest?

Brainwaves is the tabletop news focused podcast I do with @jamsandwich.bsky.social and @tabletopgamesblog.com. We bring you the really important industry news, alongside interviews, and analysis. Check us out, give us a share. giantbrain.co.uk/2025/06/30/b...

Those of you who've followed me for a while know I generally only run a sale for an unplanned expense, not for regular bills like workshop rent or materials. So here's a 20% discount to help me pay for an unexpected emergency vet bill for Fenris co-pilot Oz. Use code OZVET20 at checkout. Thankyou.

Morning all. New Brainwaves episode Monday. Hope to get back into writing this coming month. Been a very busy time at work as I transition into a new role which hasn't left me exhausted as such but just not as much brain space for thinking about games.

It's the last episode of Season 3 of Cult of the Old and we chose an appropriate title. With fellow hosts @sanildefanso.bsky.social and @mattthr.bsky.social creators.spotify.com/pod/show/iai...

Collecting these thoughts into a thread: In 1978, Bernard Suits released a book abut games, titled The Grasshopper: Games, Life and Utopia. It's dense, and most of it doesn't strike me as super-interesting regarding TTRPGs, but there is a bit of note, which is (drumroll): The Lusory Attitude.

I like to look at computer games that span the divide between tabletop and digital. StarVaders from @starvaders-game.bsky.social does just that with a whole load of style. giantbrain.co.uk/2025/06/13/s...

Dry as fuck TTRPG thoughts #256: The concept of fictional events taking place in an imaginary continuity seems to be a pretty key part to RPGs. In Forge terms, the existence of a Shared Imagined Space (SIS) and things happening in it. That's NOT exclusive to RPG play, you can have SIS in other play.

Panda manufacturing offers $25k in manufacturing for 25 folk with 2 or fewer published titles. I haven't looked deeply into this, but I can imagine it being helpful for some of my friends here. may be helpful or not pandagm.com/25-in-25/ 🎲✂️

Looking for RPGs with meta-text considerations form my next TTGM column. I've already mentioned Triangle Agency in a previous column. I need 2 as I have DIE and You will die in this place (which is weird and maybe wonderful). Any thoughts?

I was interviewed recently about being a critic and games journalist.

This is a great list of RPGs that show "System Matters". I thoroughly belief this and when I find games where it is true they resonate better with me.
