Trump/Musk just laid off the entire VA info security team, in the middle off the night, this weekend.

The DOGE anti-waste guys keep trying to find the Pentagon, but they accidentally turn off 395 at Crystal City. It happens to all of us.

Yo congressional Dems, you seeing this? He’s just giving this to you for free. I’d listen to him

these guys are touching every stove with every hand at the same time cyberintel.substack.com/p/doge-expos...

My top Super Bowl memory is when Musk tweeted “Go Eagles” in 2023 from the game and then deleted it after a similar tweet from Biden got more engagement. Then he flew to Twitter HQ and demanded his workers find out why his posts were doing poorly, starting a multi-day fact finding mission.

The way an executive branch that respects the rule of law objects to a district court ruling it doesn’t like is to *appeal* it, not to imply that the ruling just shouldn’t be followed.

One way to think about the DOGE effort is it's an outgrowth of 20 years of hardliner conservatives frustrated by their inability to get the votes in Congress to do what they want to do. 1/

I'm in awe of @aoc.bsky.social staying as calm and collected as she is while explaining to us just how much calling your elected representatives matters--especially if they disagree with you.

Who knows? But our chances are better if we start fighting NOW.

In December, NYT revealed that Elon Musk and SpaceX were failing to meet govt reporting protocol designed to protect state secrets while they haul in billions in Pentagon contracts. This triggered three reviews, according to the NYT. One was from the Defense Department inspector general. 1/

Gotta say, the mainstream media is simply not doing the minimum amount of work to communicate that a bunch of Nazis implicated in child pornography have all of our banking information and can turn off social security whenever they want.

In these dark times, cultivating joy where I can. The love of my life took me out for my birthday on Wednesday, and it was great!

WAPO: ".. Records obtained by The Post show that several members of Musk’s DOGE team .. were given .. sweeping authority to install and modify software .. and, according to two OPM officials, to alter internal documentation of their own activities." www.washingtonpost.com/national-sec...

Stop getting distracted. It's simple: Private citizens are illegally seizing control of your government's systems while claiming to save it. The evidence is right in front of your eyes. Musk and Trump are taking what isn't theirs to take. Congress must act. 🧵

1/ Here's my take on what's happening with DOGE. I've got fed experience through contracting with Health & Human Safety, Head Start, The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and DOD. I get brought in when people need to get shit done. Other people here have way more experience than me.

There’s a big lawsuit everyone should know about. It’s the one that could boot Elon Musk and the DOGE dudes out of Treasury and kill their access to our payment systems. Learn about it in my write-up: https://buff.ly/4jMI4pO

We were just told that they won’t let us in. They are denying entry to 2 dozen members of Congress. Elon Musk has all our private information & we have no idea what he’s doing with it. This is happening completely behind closed doors. HELL NO. It’s illegal. We demand oversight!

one of those "the system isn't defined by rules, but how they are enforced" days, rather than the usual "the purpose of a system is what it does" days

I wrote a thing about how there appear to be at least a few of the folks who helped sanewash Trump/Muskism who are recognizing "wait, shit is going bad" and I know it's easy to demonize those people, but we may need more people like them to stop this. www.techdirt.com/2025/02/04/f...
