Adventures of the Captive Wolves, it was a Gargoyles/X-Men crossover complete with a Mary Sue gargoyle who romanced Gambit cause of course she did. There weren't wolves in it, but Professor X gave a dramatic speech comparing the X-men to them as they are misunderstood so go figure.
