I'm in the middle of S4 right now, and I'm beginning to see why people put it up as their favorite Trek show. DS9 definitely moves the Federation from the classic sci-fi parable stories and into more complicated rough terrain where almost everyone must sacrifice something for their ideals

Something I don't get about the strike: we keep seeing the "9 out of 10 members don't qualify for health insurance." Insurance gets cheaper the more people in the pool. I don't know demographics for sure, but I would guess the guild trends younger, so it's even cheaper. 1/2
