La New Glenn prend vie ! 🚀 Le lanceur lourd de Blue Origin (45t en LEO) a allumé pour la 1ère fois ses 7 moteurs BE-4 pendant 24s dont 13s à pleine puissance, soit 1700t de poussée. Le test est un succès et on peut espérer un décollage en janvier 2025. 🤞

I recently learned that the black thermal coating on Zarya's (and Nauka's) pressure hull was first developed as a coating for Polyus' fuselage. And of course they share the same composite payload fairing, also first developed for Polyus.

#OTD in 1972, Apollo 17 touched down on the Moon. This photograph, taken during EVA-3, is probably the clearest known of an Apollo astronaut's face on the lunar surface. Remastered from the original flight film, it's now a little clearer. Fantastic detail in the LRV wheels too!
