Sometimes you can do everything right and still fail. That's what has happened to my current kidney transplant. After nearly 17 years, it's done. My wait on the transplant list for a new one will be about 5 to 8 years. A living donor would give me the best chance at a longer, healthier life.

I had my first meeting the the surgeon today. He thinks I'm a good candidate for a 3rd kidney transplant. My wait time on the list is estimated to be 5 to 8 YEARS. Not ideal, I wish I had a living donor (feel free to apply!).
