@bphillipsonmp.bsky.social Do you honestly expect trans women to out themselves by using the men's toilets, putting themselves in danger and eliminating any semblance of a private life? How can this be reasonable?

There can never be true liberation for trans people, for women, for anyone, so long as they are still exploited as workers. No bourgeois court will liberate you. No bourgeois parliament will liberate you.

The advice from the EHRC to trans people who want to piss is to use your powers of advocacy to get a third space. Until then, I guess you just have to hold it in? Good, solid, practical advice.

"Trump is doing things they don't approve of, and yet they still don't want the tepid grey slop of liberal establishment politics."

The Labour Party has long given up the pretence of being the political arm of the labour movement. They serve only capital. They don't care about workers, they care only about there being enough workers to oil the cogs of capitalism.

The liberal mindset laid bare. They will always make the Left their primary enemy, even with the reactionary far-right in power, because they fundamentally have the same masters as the far-right. Liberals are the enemy of working people everywhere.

I actually do agree with the idea that those who built the modern world should run it. This is why I firmly believe that state power should be concentrated entirely in the hands of the working class.

Elon is awful, but let's not forget that every single billionaire is a symbol of the exploitation and bourgeois domination that is the capitalist system, and every single one must go. They will never yield their positions willingly.

Feels more and more like liberal representative democracy is a lame duck. It has no answers to the rising far right. It is its enabler. The case for socialism must be made.

To cut a long story short, the richest man in the world has recognised that representative democracies are, at this point, an impediment to his further accrual of wealth and power, and so is acting directly against those democracies. His peer group is following suit.

Made Jerusalem artichoke soup with roasted pears and a savoury granola topping made of walnuts, oats, and rosemary. Drizzled a little smoked rapeseed oil on there as an extra little treat.

Found out today I got an interview for a job which I did not expect to get. It's a significant promotion and quite a change from what I'm doing now. I'm starting to believe...

Going to India in just over a week and I'm already amped about the food. Dal baati churma all round lads.

Day 4 without some quite important medication because Boots pharmacy is glacially slow when it comes to dispensing prescriptions.

Suppose I'll introduce myself. I'm Jo from South Wales. I'll mostly be talking about music, food, and the rapidly approaching far right nightmare we all face unless we embrace socialism.

Twitter is going to be even more insufferable from now on, isn't it.
