According to The Age (An Australian Publication) businesses going insolvent has surged 24% in my neck of the woods in 2024. Economic times have been tough in Australia these last few years battling inflation. I'm very, very thankful and grateful I am not one of those businesses.

Okay, looks like @playstation.com is back up. Down for around 20 hours or so and only a very short, brief update from them at the end of the whole debacle. No explanation what it was, what happened, or whether they were hacked. Very suss. Badly handled.

Welp. Today's been a total write off. Now 10pm, still can't re-download my PS5 games or purchase new ones onto my newly acquired 2TB SSD expansion because of this @playstation.com network outage. And they haven't been giving updates so god knows whats going on. Feels like they've been hacked.

Steve Jobs said it best. He was talking about consulting but this applies to a lot of things. He said you have to really own something, and take responsibility for it, and develop scar tissue using it over time yourself to be able to really know it and recommend it to someone else.

Got access to Sora AI video generator everyone keeps raving on about. I tried it once, it got one end of a table's legs wrong on the first go. Hard pass. The more of this AI "art" I see, the more I want to support original artists & creatives. A.I generated images and video just looks terrible.

I.T roles can sometimes attract people who are incredibly skilled and very good at what they do, but really suck when it comes to people skills. Always treat people the way you like to be treated. Kindness, patience, respect, understanding.
