New car day! :D 🇸🇪 Bought this (currently non-running) 1991 #Toyota AE92 Liftback Corolla GT-i 16V CS (4A-GE) from my cousin as he has no time to get it back on the roads (me neither, but Toyota takes priority). Plan: Wash, fix, make nicer, pass inspection, drive for a while, sell to good home.

New rear main seal installed, flywheel cleaned and re-torqued, Viggen clutch inatalled, gearbox power washed, and input shaft seal re-sealed. This was yesterday. Hoping to have gearbox back in car tomorrow (since today is New Car Day(tm)). #Saab #Opel #Vauxhall

#Opel Vectra progress this weekend: Oil pan off, underside of block cleaned. Subframe and sway bar off. Clutch cable, shift linkage, Left driveshaft, left strut off. Oil pickup and baffle plate cleaned. Etc. Next up: clean subframes, order oil pan and sway bar, buy oils. #Vauxhall

Pulled the trigger on a set of new #Saab 900/9-3 control arms and end links for the #Opel Vectra. Will also be changing to a 9-3 subframe with the 26mm sway bay that I have laying around. This should hopefully fix my driveshaft binding issue and finally enable full attack driving with the car. :D
