Watching the FINAL DESTINATION movies and it's very apparent that the "Death Force" would have a way harder time of it if electrical equipment in the FD world had basic earthing, fuses, circuit breakers, and insulation. That they don't suggests to me the Death Force is a heavy employer of lobbyists.

My last job before retirement was with a firm that built specialty equipment to process fruit, tuna and vegetables for canning. Those pear halves, cling peaches and baby carrots are all processed by these machines. All of the metal comes from China. Built in the US. Chinese steel and aluminum
