I helped build a government AI system. DOGE fired me, rolled the AI out to the whole agency, and implied the AI can do my job and the jobs of the others they've fired. It can't. But, what DOGE accidentally revealed about themselves in the process is fascinating. 🧵

the problem with gen AI characters just from purely a game design & player experience standpoint is that the characters are unmemorable and boring, there's no way to feel clever when talking to them, and even if you roleplay when talking to them they won't remember or react to that meaningfully

Thinking about OBS a lot today. Such a strange and wonderful application. And a clear illustration of the need for a diversity of ideas in the software industry. I, for example, never would have thought to boldly ask the question "what if Zoom had Blender's user interface"

Pod Save America brought on Bill Maher to spew easily disproven anti-trans talking points. They keep saying they’re not anti-trans and trying to walk back statements they make. I have offered to go on their show to talk. I’m offering again now. Talk to a freaking trans person.
