My #Sonic3 hottake? Robotnik didn't need to get fat. Once he's suited up you barely notice. If you were going to do scale accurate Robotnik you should have gone all the way and made him a ball - and as it is, it'd be hard to do the funny dance that way, and you're not cutting that.
