100 followers?! That's amazing thank you kindly. Here's a bunch of models including very recent efforts and some oldies but goodies from the day.

Progress on my He Man 🐍 peeps.

Playing Legion Imperialis at my store today! Gosh it's a really good game with little down time for players, orders and alternating activations instead of turns, and a simple structure where you don't spend ages flicking between books. Dare I say it, GWs best game?

Laying down base paints on the Snake Men from Masters of the Universe and am reminded how wonderful these 80s toylines were with their psychadelic colour wheels.

Movies you've watched more than six times, using only gifs.

To celebrate @atomicmassgames.bsky.social arriving to Bluesky, here's some recent Star Wars Shatterpoint models i whipped up recently and some photos of the event we just held. Good to see ya here 😁

Drop something purple!

Have begun painting up the Snake Men from the Masters of the Universe boardgame. These snake troopers are a great place to start. I like that they are based on the designs of the unmade 1988 figure wave. They were to be made mostly of the parts of older figures, such was the state of things then.

Will you be Frida's Valentine?

Was going through my old account and posts on the old place before I delete it all permanently and was reminded of the time John Oliver covered the NZ bird of the year competition and featured my Rockhopper penguin campaign movie posters. Greatest moment of my graphic design life.

Post a non-disney princess or a prince

A fne new addition my stores cabinets, a JoyToy Primarch Horus

This deal is getting better all the time Enjoyed Lando and his Bespin pals for Shatterpoint. Had some good fun painting them. And as Lando is a primary with the scoundrel tag, he'll be a good accompanying character to take with those bounty hunters.

Just some simple people trying to make their way in the universe. Star Wars Shatterpoint bounty hunters box was an absolute joy to paint. If there was one complaint it's that 4-LOM and Zuckuss aren't in the set, but that aside, it's glorious.

De wanna wanga.

The primary models for the troopers are done now. Enjoyed these too. Beautiful sculpts as always from Atomic Mass Games.

Super trooper beams are gonna blind me... Pleased with these I reckon. Like many of you I don't enjoy painting white much, but if you paint star wars minis you gotta cross that bridge at some point.

I just love that I can use bluesky and see things I want to see and hear from people I want to hear from and not feel worse about the world afterwards... unlike the absolute hellscape that became of the old place which was just fighting, porn and nazis by the end. Pic of Frida at the beach.

Progress

Troopers getting paint. Trust the process.

Building some Star Wars shatterpoint models tonight. I always have to doff my cap to Atomic Mass for their miniatures in this game. They walk this lovely fine line between the films and the clone wars/rebels Ralph Maquarrie look 👌. Alos a refreshing change from oodles of purple space marines.

I'm so happy with the Emperor's Children reveal. GW have outdone themselves and my old army will be retired after their 20y wait and replaced with these perfect specimens. In particular, Lucius standing on the Iron Hand marine is <chef's kiss>. Now, what's a good pink recipe?

Okay. Have got myself together a bit to talk about David Lynch. Since seeing Dune as a wee fulla, I've been absolutely enamored with his vision. In many respects he's defined my own work over the years, from art to graphic design to even my minis. I feel like he's family somehow and will miss him.

Sup?

I hosted a small game day of Legions Imperialis yesterday at my venue. I had such a good time playing it, it's a really lovely rules set. Very pleased as I've bought and painted so much of it, so that's a relief 😁

Frida had calamari for first time today. She is most pleased.

Some more LI tanks ready to go for our learn to play event in NZ on Saturday

Unit of 6 Emperor's Children Xiphons all done to perfection. What excellent fun these models are, gosh I love Legions Imperialis.

All glammed up now. I don't know quite why, but now that I've got into decals, when I start doing them I can't stop. Each of these six wee fullas have seven transfers each. #decalfever

First painting session of 2025 for me. Getting my Xiphons in their best glamorous purple'n'gold.
