My EC scheme looking glam I reckon. It'll certainly stick out on the tables of grim dark and is easily replicable. A bit of 30k meets 40k.

So it begins... again. My second Emperor's Children army this year, this time for 40k. Using @warhipster.bsky.social 's lovely pink recipe. I'm gonna paint them as Xantine's warband from the Lord of Excess novel, that is pink and purple with gold trim - deliciously decadent.

Painted the last of the characters I have for the MOTU game. Now there's just Castle Grayskull to go!

Blep

And with Scare-Glow painted, the entire Box of Power for the Masters of the Universe boardgame is now complete! 61 models! I'm so pleased with how this project has come out. Each model presented small challenges to overcome, such as finding a good glow in the dark look for the models.

He Men painted. I said hey, what's going on?

More Skeletors! This box set has some serious deep cut characters, but perhaps none as deep cut as Skeletor's mini clones!

A pair of Skeletors and a Panthor done!

Some more of Skeletors minions finished and ready to do battle!

Some bumbling boobs and pitiful pinheads now painted up for Skeletor to boss around in the Masters of the Universe boardgame.

Still chipping away at my He-Man and the Masters of the Universe board game project. Fresh off the painting palette are: Prince Adam, Man-E-Faces, Mekaneck, Roboto and the rock people; Stonedar and Rokkon

The MOTU project continues with Buzz-Off, Zoar, and the Green Goddess (Teela).

He-Man and Clamp Champ get some paint. Making my way through the good guys before I get to the bad guy half of The Box of Power! Using contrast paints, I'm speeding through them essentially. Not intended to win painting awards or anything. With this many models in the box, it's so fun and diverse.

Now painting up heroes from the amazing Box of Power from the Masters of the Universe boardgame from CMON. In this bunch is Man at Arms, The Sorceress, Extendar, Snout Spout and Moss Man. Oh the puns! I love He Man. So fun 😁.

And done! The Snake Men from Masters of the Universe are finished and ready for gaming. These are from the CMON games boardgame, Clash for Eternia. Now onto The Box of Power! A big box of about 80 or so models which was part of the Kickstarter.

100 followers?! That's amazing thank you kindly. Here's a bunch of models including very recent efforts and some oldies but goodies from the day.

Progress on my He Man 🐍 peeps.

Playing Legion Imperialis at my store today! Gosh it's a really good game with little down time for players, orders and alternating activations instead of turns, and a simple structure where you don't spend ages flicking between books. Dare I say it, GWs best game?

Laying down base paints on the Snake Men from Masters of the Universe and am reminded how wonderful these 80s toylines were with their psychadelic colour wheels.

Movies you've watched more than six times, using only gifs.

To celebrate @atomicmassgames.bsky.social arriving to Bluesky, here's some recent Star Wars Shatterpoint models i whipped up recently and some photos of the event we just held. Good to see ya here 😁

Drop something purple!

Have begun painting up the Snake Men from the Masters of the Universe boardgame. These snake troopers are a great place to start. I like that they are based on the designs of the unmade 1988 figure wave. They were to be made mostly of the parts of older figures, such was the state of things then.

Will you be Frida's Valentine?

Was going through my old account and posts on the old place before I delete it all permanently and was reminded of the time John Oliver covered the NZ bird of the year competition and featured my Rockhopper penguin campaign movie posters. Greatest moment of my graphic design life.

Post a non-disney princess or a prince

A fne new addition my stores cabinets, a JoyToy Primarch Horus

This deal is getting better all the time Enjoyed Lando and his Bespin pals for Shatterpoint. Had some good fun painting them. And as Lando is a primary with the scoundrel tag, he'll be a good accompanying character to take with those bounty hunters.

Just some simple people trying to make their way in the universe. Star Wars Shatterpoint bounty hunters box was an absolute joy to paint. If there was one complaint it's that 4-LOM and Zuckuss aren't in the set, but that aside, it's glorious.

De wanna wanga.

The primary models for the troopers are done now. Enjoyed these too. Beautiful sculpts as always from Atomic Mass Games.

Super trooper beams are gonna blind me... Pleased with these I reckon. Like many of you I don't enjoy painting white much, but if you paint star wars minis you gotta cross that bridge at some point.

I just love that I can use bluesky and see things I want to see and hear from people I want to hear from and not feel worse about the world afterwards... unlike the absolute hellscape that became of the old place which was just fighting, porn and nazis by the end. Pic of Frida at the beach.
