Anyone else notice boomers get really hung up on whether someone "means" to hurt people feelings as equally important than actually hurting someone? Like yes, the whole maga "f your feelings" movement, but also just general "hey that was not nice" is met with "UGH but I wasn't being mean"

I bought a boombox and CDs this weekend, now I'm using MapQuest. Y2K aesthetic is back, baby!

Meet 11-year-old Jocelynn Rojo Carranza, a young girl from Texas whose life was tragically cut short. She died by suicide after classmates threatened to call ICE on her family. Stop dehumanizing immigrants. That is not America.

It's never been a better time to make friends with Amtrak. Chariot of the Northeast coast, luxury ride of the West and, most importantly, doesn't leave the ground.

It is perfectly legal to know your rights and to educate others about them, too. EVERYONE in the United States, citizen or not, has rights. I will not allow this administration to intimidate us from helping you know about them. Here’s our shareable guide ⬇️: (pt. 1/2)

What feels strange about this era is I fundamentally disagreed with Bush because his actions were antithetical to my beliefs. But I never doubted the people pulling the strings didn't have beliefs. I genuinely don't think Trump has more beliefs than "get money = get respect"

HAHAHA oh boy this is gonna suck

Not exaggerating when I say I would like a personal, handwritten apology from every pundit who barfed out a dozen "the left wants to change the way you talk!" op-eds based on non-mandatory guidelines in obscure PDFs.

Friends were discussing what Simpsons reference we probably make the most and this weekend it was definitely this one:

Neighborhood is fireworks, screaming, horns, firetrucks. My neighbor just stepped on his porch and screamed GOOOOO BIIIIRDS. Dogs are barking. The Hoopla has begun.

I'm going to be totally honest: I'm not enthused about the Buffy revival. If Buffy is coming back, it needs a whole new lore. The old show was great, but of it's time, and had plenty of problems that are deeply entangled with it's creator. I love Sarah, it's just not a good idea.

Oh damn, that trailer looks pretty good. I like the idea of embracing the comic book parts of comic book movies.

Happy birthday, Elmo! 🥳 Congratulations on your library card!

I wish I could have been on the bear bait shopping trip. "We need your finest pin-a-nic basket selections, please"

This made me Google the "outfit" and, um, oh my. Not sure it qualifies as an outfit.

The book made the author more insufferable, if you can believe it. The film was actually much more flattering that the authors own description of her behavior (which she clearly thinks is "quirky and charming" and not a personality disorder).

There's an incredibly stupid Op Ed in the NYT this morning about "How to stop worrying about Trump" which is basically "just don't think about it lol" and I felt compelled to leave a comment. I don't think it will get posted but I think it's worth something

Suddenly, out of nowhere, a declassified World War II-era CIA guide to sabotaging fascism in the workplace has become one of the most popular free ebooks on the internet: www.404media.co/declassified...

Montgomery County PA, a swing district, is Finding Out. $22 million for construction and $11 million for the police frozen to check for wokeness. Oops glensidelocal.com/montco-offic...
