You knew when you saw Peter David’s name it was going to be well written and entertaining. He was a legend.

I have to admit, going by 1980’s entertainment, I thought pens leaking in my shirt pocket and leaving a huge and embarrassing stain would be a bigger problem than it turned out to be.

I don’t think any of us could see how Cheech Marin’s parody song “Born in East L.A.” could come true. Yet here we are.

I think TV detective shows peaked in the 1980’s with “Riptide.” They operated out of a houseboat, used a speedboat, helicopter, sports car, a 4 wheeled drive car, and a robot. Add plenty of manly chest hair and you’ve got a winner.

I have a joke that I’ve held for over 40 years, since I was in middle school. I always thought that, if I ever write a murder mystery book or play, I would use it because it makes me laugh. I’m writing a comedic murder mystery play and used it today. It feels good. Like an itch has been scratched.

I think a Canadian national song contest, like Eurovision, would be a cool idea. I’d like to see what my country’s songwriters, singers and bands could come up with. We already have amazing musical artists here, so why not?

The new Pope is from Chicago, so his papacy will be driven by yes/and scenarios.

The people picked a Pope. Provost popular. Pledges peace for the population.

I remember seeing Star Wars in the theatre for the first time. Dad took me. I had my Luke Skywalker action figure, because the stores were all out of Darth Vader. I hadn’t seen the movie yet, but I needed an action figure to see it. The movie was astounding, exciting, amazing, frightening, ⬇️

Why is there never enough ketchup for the grilled cheese? No matter how much ketchup I put on the plate for my grilled cheese, there’s never enough. Either the bread absorbs a lot of ketchup or some sort of ketchup black hole opens up. Is there some sort of scientific paper on this phenomena?

I forgot to look up to see if I could see Betelgeuse last night. I don’t know much about supernovas so can someone tell me did I miss my chance or is this going to go on for awhile?

You know they’re close to choosing a new Pope when Ewan McGregor jumps from an exploding helicopter. It’s tradition.

We can put robots on Mars, but we can’t invent an app that keeps you logged in after it updates. Madness.

Forbush Man would like a word. thedirect.com/article/kevi...

In the eternal battle of “bird” being the word and “grease” being the word, who wins?

Speaking of radio, I miss the CHUM FM Sunday Funnies with Rick Hodge. Happy an hour of stand up, then an old radio show (usually Jack Benny). Just lying in my bed, having a laugh. Those times were simpler.

Does @boom973toronto.bsky.social play music in the morning? Every day my alarm goes off to Stu Jeffries talking. Then I hit snooze then Stu is talking. Then snooze then Stu. I like Stu, but I like music from time to time, especially on my music radio stations.

I can’t tell you how happy I am that “The Drew Carey Show” is available for streaming. That’s it, that’s the post.

This has been my day. Wonderful!

Yep. Was wrong about the Nintendo Direct… sort of. There were a lot of remakes/remasters, but not a lot of indie games and Metroid Prime 4 was in the first third. There were a few games I liked the looks of. I don’t think it was the final bunch of games for the Switch, though.

I think tomorrow’s Nintendo Direct will be mostly an indie showcase with a bunch of remakes/masters, with Metroid Prime 4 as the grand finale. I’m happy to be proven wrong, though.

With so many characters appearing in Avengers: Doomsday, that would be the perfect time to introduce Forbush Man. It would be an epic reveal.

If Lynyrd Skynyrd can tour without any of its original members, then so can Sha-na-na. Just sayin’

I’m really starting to think people are making YouTube videos just to show off their microphones.

I just discovered “Murder on the Dance Floor” a couple of months ago, and now I find out it’s 23 years old. Where the hell have I been? That song is awesome! Look what I missed out by not paying attention. There’s a lesson in there somewhere.

I’ve been thinking of writing a comedic murder mystery play. I have a joke I’ve been saving since middle school for just such a thing. I can imagine the releaf I will feel when I finally get a 40+ year old joke on paper.

Yesterday I opened a pull account at my new favourite comic shop specifically to get the Absolute books from DC Comics. That’s it. Those are the only comics I want, I like them so much.

When David Bowie died. Everything’s been screwed up since then.

I’m very proud of my local theatre group. Every main show next season is written by a Canadian playwright. No one told the play reading commitee to do it, they just did it. Also our spring play is Canadian. That was chosen last year, but we’ll take the applause.

@chchnews.bsky.social it’s bad enough I can’t watch online videos without being bombarded with the conservative anti Carney ads, but I’ve seen that crap twice in five minutes watching your morning show. So now I’m pissed off at you. It’s March 4th, tariffs just started, read the fucking room.

So the James Bond series consists of 3 songs, and none of them were Goldfinger?

Did Nintendo not have a non-Pokémon direct this month or did I miss it?

Some badly lit toe beans for a weary day.

Once, a lifetime ago, I was walking to my local comic shop with a friend, and I was giving one of those typical high school speeches about how we were true individuals, not like other teens. He stopped me, and without an ounce of irony said, “We’re not individuals, we’re weird.” He was a smart guy.

Finished issue 1 of Absolute Batman. I’m loving the Absolute comics. The stories, the art, the changes to mythos, all fantastic. Cudos to everyone involved.

I am loving “The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom.” I prefer the 3D Zelda games over the more realistic ones, and this one is lots of fun. The art style of really great as well.

I love “Carry That Weight” as much as the next guy, but it would have been awesome if Sir Paul just did “Spy’s Like Us.” It’s practically a SNL movie.

Just sayin’, considering the relationship between Canada and our neighbor to the south, The Frantics should reform and release a new version of “Boot to the Head.” They’d make a mint.

I’d like to go see the new Captain America movie this weekend, but I’ve looked outside and I’m pretty sure I’m going to be snowbound until May. Send supplies.
