Taken recently. St. Joseph's #Catholic #Church is in the Mount Pleasant district of #Calgary. The cornerstone of the church was laid in 1914. I quite liked the white statue in the back by the Parish. Here's hoping everyone has a great weekend. #photography #yyc #history

Taken Sunday evening in a natural wooded area north of the Inglewood Bird Sanctuary in #Calgary. Though #yyc is a city of over 1.6M people it is still easy to find a great many #wilderness areas where one can be alone without leaving the city. Have a great day everyone. #photography #nature

Wednesday evening I took this #photo of the #Calgary #Tower from the south while standing on #Centre Street & 17th Avenue. When it opened to the public in 1968 it was the highest structure in Calgary [190.8-metre (626 ft)]. Today there are 7 taller buildings in the #city #photography #history

Yesterday evening I took a #photo of St. Mary's Cathedral, which is the seat of the Diocese of #Calgary, #Alberta. It was consecrated in 1957. Above the entrance is a 16 foot stone statue of the Virgin Mary with Child, by Calgary sculptor Luke Lindoe. #photography #yyc #history #architecture

Yesterday in Confederation Park in NW #Calgary I photographed a pair of #Aythya (diving #ducks). By the female's markings you can tell these are Lesser #Scaups, commonly referred to as little bluebills. Enjoy! And have a terrific Tuesday everyone. #photography #wildlife #fowl #bird #nature
