The Dilworth Fire Station is a critical public safety project. We need another bonding bill this session to deliver necessary funding for infrastructure projects like this one. www.inforum.com/news/minneso...

Four years ago, I visited Dilworth to see for myself how the old fire station was putting safety for both our firefighters and the many communities they serve at risk. In 2023 we got the money to make it happen, and yesterday we celebrated a brand new station.

Trump’s latest scheme to pay for tax cuts for billionaires: www.axios.com/2025/04/17/t...

Folks in Moorhead don’t want their public schools defunded, their heath care stripped, or our veterans left behind. I joined our partners in the legislature for a town hall today to let Minnesotans know how we’re standing up to the Trump Adminstration.

The numbers are in after yesterday’s tax deadline. Minnesota’s new Child Tax Credit delivered an average $2,400 back to working class families, benefiting nearly 400,000 kids. Regardless of Washington chaos, we’re still making Minnesota the best state for kids to grow up.

I’m headed to the Moorhead area to talk about the infrastructure projects we’re funding to improve peoples’ lives. That includes cutting the ribbon on a brand new fire station and finding ways to mitigate the effects of extreme weather like flooding.

Trump's cuts to Medicaid would cost Minnesota $1.6 billion a year and make it impossible to deliver the health care Minnesotans need.   That's why we’re traveling the state, letting Washington know we won't let billionaires take away health care for kids and veterans.

Minnesota is a top state for health care, thanks in part to Mayo Clinic.   Now they’re building a $5 billion expansion in Rochester where the lifesaving health care innovations of the future are going to happen.   Inspiring to see the progress today.

I’m headed to Rochester to get an update on Mayo Clinic’s multi-billion dollar expansion. We’re ushering in the next generation of health care innovation - and creating union construction jobs along the way.

I’m grateful the Shapiro family is safe. It’s despicable for this to happen as the Jewish community is celebrating Passover. Political violence has no place in our country.

It’s feeling like spring, Minnesota.

We’ll keep investing in the things that make Minnesota the best place to live, work, and raise a family. www.duluthnewstribune.com/news/local/w...

Happy Passover! Gwen and I wish all those who celebrate a meaningful holiday filled with joy, renewal, and hope. Chag Sameach!

Happy Record Store Day, everybody. Make sure to shop local.

Our infrastructure plan is focused on improving facilities to better serve those who serve us. That’s why I’m proposing $3 million for the first phase of a new hangar for our airmen at the 148th Fighter Wing.

Sofidel’s $200 million expansion in Duluth is creating jobs and reinforcing Minnesota as a top place to live and work.

I’m on my way to Duluth to break ground on a $200 million business expansion project that will create over 150 manufacturing jobs. Amid the uncertainty in Washington, we’re still committed to building a stronger economy across the state.

A global company like Philips could expand anywhere, but they chose to expand in Minnesota - creating cutting-edge, good-paying jobs.

It was an honor to join Minnesota’s veterans at the Capitol today.   We have a shared responsibility to take care of those who put their lives on the line to fight for our democracy and our freedom. In Minnesota, we’re proud to honor that commitment.

Decisions made by billionaires in Washington are cutting real programs that save Minnesotans money, monitor disease outbreaks, and keep us safe.   And they're just getting started on their promised cuts to Social Security and Medicaid. www.mprnews.org/story/2025/0...

No taxes on groceries or clothes in Minnesota, but we’re working to lower sales taxes across the board to help Minnesotans afford Trump’s economy. www.startribune.com/grocery-clot...

For 50 years, Voyageurs National Park has brought millions of people from around the world to see all that the Land of 10,000 Lakes has to offer - remote island camping, paddling, world-class fishing, and abundant winter activities. Happy birthday, Voyageurs!

Social Security might not mean much to an unelected billionaire, but it’s a lifeline for the rest of us. www.startribune.com/minnesota-re...

I picked all 1 seeds, but that’s NIL for you. Go Coogs 🔥

Congratulations to two Lynx legends! www.startribune.com/former-lynx-...

Minnesota lost a legend yesterday in wildlife photographer Jim Brandenburg. Gwen and I are sending our love to his family. Here’s his photo ‘Chased by the Light’ taken in Ely.

Trump can’t figure out how to score a point on Russia or China, so he’s punishing our allies and kicking our own economy in the teeth.

President Trump has made it abundantly clear that he doesn't care about the farmers who feed, fuel, and grow our country. www.startribune.com/trump-new-ta...

Americans don’t need billionaires deciding if, how, and where they get cancer screenings or birth control. www.msnbc.com/msnbc/amp/sh...

Trump is cutting hundreds of millions in federal funds that Minnesota uses to monitor infectious disease outbreaks like measles and avian influenza. This decision will leave Minnesotans more susceptible to illness. Attorney General Ellison and the State of Minnesota are suing Trump.

We have yet to receive adequate information from Homeland Security about the recent news of Minnesota students being detained by ICE. Snatching up students who come here legally to work hard and get an education does not make you tough on immigration. We need answers.

On Transgender Day of Visibility, we celebrate Minnesota’s transgender community and recommit to standing up for our neighbors in the face of hatred. As your Governor, I’m proud to stand in this fight with you.

Eid Mubarak! I’m wishing our Muslim neighbors a peaceful and blessed celebration with good food and good company.

My team is in touch with local officials on the scene in Brooklyn Park and we are monitoring the situation closely. Grateful to the first responders answering the call. www.fox9.com/news/plane-c...

I just spoke with Homeland Security to get more information and I will share when I learn more. The University of Minnesota is an international destination for education and research. We have any number of students studying here with visas, and we need answers. www.startribune.com/u-graduate-s...

Happy Opening Day, Minnesota! 162-0.

I joined our veterans, and the good folks who serve them, at the Minneapolis VA to make sure Trump knows our veterans don't want to see 83,000 caregivers fired.

In the last year Minnesota farmers have had to weather extreme flooding, drought, new tariffs, and the spread of avian flu.    Today I’m recommending an additional $4 million to help our poultry and livestock producers respond to the effects of avian flu.

I would like to nominate Maxwell Smart for national security advisor.

Congrats, Easton! Making the Land of 10,000 Lakes proud 🎣 www.startribune.com/young-minnes...

If you know you know.

Tariffs have thrown the auto industry into disarray, and workers on the Iron Range are paying the price. I’ve been in touch with the union to make sure that laid-off workers are getting connected to the resources they need. www.startribune.com/iron-range-l...

This will have devastating consequences. Nearly a million K-12 students in Minnesota rely on funding from the Department of Education. Students in rural communities, low-income families, and those who need special education services will be hit the hardest. www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/rcn...

I’ve been briefed on a propane leak near the Flint Hills Refinery in Rosemount. I’m glad to hear that everyone is safe. Thank you to the first responders and state agencies who responded to evacuate homes in the area and are investigating to find the exact location of the leak.

Paid leave is about investing in the people who made our economy strong in the first place. www.startribune.com/counterpoint...

Happy Saint Patrick’s Day, Minnesota! Feeling lucky to serve the best state in the nation ☘️

I just signed the first bill of the year: lowering costs for small grain buyers.   Prosperity for our ag community is not a partisan issue. I’m glad to see legislators come together in a bipartisan way to get this done.

I’m saddened to hear about the passing of my former colleague Raúl Grijalva. He was a tireless advocate for progress and he made Congress and our country a better place.

We just got new data: Our trade partners bought nearly $27 billion in food and other products last year. That’s a massive contribution to Minnesotans who work in our agriculture, mining, and manufacturing industries, and it’s why we can’t risk trade wars with our closest allies.
