Interestingly, in the view of Trump and Musk, this war is not "pointless" for Russia, which has lost over 200,000 KIA, sending costly human wave attacks for months and years to seize the lifeless smoking ruins of distant Ukrainian towns in Donbas and declare yet another grandiose victory on TV.

Today’s cover of the Murdoch-owned New York Post

Okay, so, how do we stop this shit? Where's the fucking press to ask Republicans how they feel about this?

When even the New York Post has to publish this, you know you fucked up.

Yo DOGE, Found your waste! 👇🏼

Absolutely. The cap is like $147,000 annual. Ppl like musk pay the same as one who has this income. Talk about entitlements.

Social Security is *not* “wrong”. Medicare is *not* “wrong”. Medicaid is *not* “wrong”. (The post contains what’s in the screen shot, so no need for alt-text.)

Watch this clip, folks 👇 Does Bannon sound like he's joking about Trump becoming dictator for life? Because he isn't.

The Senate just voted on a simple idea: If you make $1 BILLION in a year, you don't deserve a tax handout. Democrats voted yes. Republicans voted no. Republicans are planning huge tax cuts for the rich, but they’re not the ones who need a break — working people do.

Mark my words—He is going to try to shut down mail-in voting. When he does, we will sue and we will win. www.washingtonpost.com/business/202...

Now is the time for all personal-injury lawyers, class-action filers, ambulance-chasers, & Slippin’ Jimmys to bond together to show the king just how expensive neglecting human needs can be The civil service is, by contrast, thrift itself

Again I am begging people in the media to note the legality of these actions in their headlines or blurbs. A post office is literally written into the constitution.

for *unrelated* charges

How many federal workers would DOGE need to fire to make up for Musk not paying his fair share of taxes? Answer: 677,000. That's 44% of the entire non-DoD federal workforce. Again, this power grab is not about the budget. It’s about politics.

"I can no longer be a part of what we can all plainly see is happening to our country." Somebody should collect these incredible resignation letters and make them a book. This one is from Nate Brought, resigning as director of the NIH Executive Secretariat. www.linkedin.com/posts/nathan...

Most people probably aren’t tracking this but Senate Republicans just started an all-night voting marathon that will allow them to gut Medicaid and increase child hunger while giving handouts to billionaires like Elon Musk.

The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) makes recommendations that determine access to vaccines in the US. The ACIP meeting scheduled for next week is now delayed. This is how RFK Jr will administratively destroy vaccination programs. www.nbcnews.com/health/healt...

Brilliant segment on the vital role the NIH exercises in advancing Alzheimer’s research to unlock future treatments. Strong and very recent bipartisan support. Well done and thank you @maddow.msnbc.com

Columbus Dispatch: Rep. Troy Balderson (R-Ohio) says Trump executive orders 'getting out of control' "Congress has to decide whether or not the Department of Education goes away," Balderson asserted. "Not the president, not Elon Musk. Congress decides." www.dispatch.com/story/news/p...

The Senate voted 51-49 Thursday to confirm election denier Kash Patel to be the director of the FBI. During a confirmation hearing, Patel repeatedly refused to say that President Donald Trump lost the 2020 election. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...

Absolutely this. McConnell thought that Trump would fizzle out and fade away. Or hoped that. So did lots of other Republicans

So if you criticize Elon Musk, Trump’s DOJ will send you this letter. Members of Congress must have the right to forcefully oppose the Trump Administration. I will not be silenced.

"Poor man wanna be rich, rich man wanna be king And a king ain't satisfied till he rules everything" Bruce Springsteen This is a good time to read the Declaration of Independence: "The history of the present King of Great Britain is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations . . ."

Rachel Maddow reports that the latest IPSOS poll shows that 54%of Americans want Democrats to win control of Congress is next year's mid-terms. Also, Quinnipiac polling shows that 83% of Americans oppose pardoning the J6 criminals. Americans are getting sick of the Orange Turd.

In addition to Congress being the place that makes the laws, pretty key thing, the constitution explicitly says Congress gets to create the postal system. It’s not left implied that that comes under law making generally. The President has no power to unilaterally abolish it and move it to commerce.
