would we think of postecoglou differently if he had four caps for greece instead of australia?

ok now i'm just imagining a reality show called Big Sam Down Under where allardyce gets hired to manage an australian team

let's check in on the other site

foot, bloody hell

it is the history of the arsenal

Miles Lewis Skelly might be good enough that he gets ownership of MLS and we might actually have to call the league ‘the MLS’ to differentiate

omg

il ritorno?

this quote is getting posted everywhere online and i cannot find any hard evidence pedri actually said it.

madrid-connected journalists keep talking about trent being a refresh for an ageing, injured, struggling back four and i'm always just like, Do They Know.

calcio, bloody hell

futbol, bloody hell

Onigiri

in my opinion arsenal should play with the same regulation size balls they always do the players won't be used to it, and there's a risk of FIFA sanction too

very keen to hear from any trans girls/women playing cricket affected by the recent decision (which we're very angry about) - DM or email [email protected] if you'd be happy to talk to us 🙏🏻

if you built your whole personality around wanting your football team to win trophies, i feel like you should be happy for more than a week when it does happen.

if you're angry about a transfer eight days after your club won the premier league, that seems like a you problem tbh

Now that Harry Kane has won a trophy I perceive him as a better player than I did just a few days ago. I think that his peak ability as a player is now, at age 31, and after multiple impactful ankle injuries, rather than, for example, that season he scored 41 goals for Spurs.

Had to take a step out of my sports writing comfort zone this week to say a thing that needed to be said. www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

"form is temporary, class is permanent", where's the social mobility in that. so much for the "working man's game".

the number of arsenal fans who seem to think liverpool deliberately rotated in this game just to be full strength against them, for some reason, is weird tbh. why would slot care?

anyone who makes comp videos that switch angle in the middle of the sequence should be put on a list. totally disorientating, loses all sense of what's actually happening.

with burnley promoted, presumably scott parker can look forward to managing bayern

genuine question: for fans of clubs like luton, is the pain of a double relegation "worth it" in the long run to see your team play in the premier league at least once?

it's always the same with the fa www.nytimes.com/athletic/216...

people are gonna say what the hell how is the xG so low but like that's the point this game was nothing but bangers

pretty good game lol

never feel a bigger cultural divide than knowing americans apparently *like* this guy who's always doing the worst andy gray impression but with a geordie accent. truly a different culture.

yamal was 11 years old when barcelona lost 4-0 to liverpool. the barca of his childhood was the banter era. the best barca team he can probably remember watching is the one he's playing in.

messi scored this goal three months before lamine yamal was born www.youtube.com/watch?v=mMiL...

if carlo does take the brazil job, does he need to blow up the vini/rodrygo-driven attack dynamic he spent years honing in order to get raphinha in there?
