Solheimasandhur plane wreck #Iceland... The US Navy Douglas DC-3 aircraft crash landed here on the beach in November 1973, due to severe icing. All 7 crew were unharmed and rescued by helicopter. The fuselage remains remarkably intact, although heavily grafittied.

#Iceland2025 A highlight of our photo tour of southern Iceland was a visit to the mighty Vestrahorn mountain, the most easterly point of this trip, @500km’s from our starting point at Keflavik. We enjoyed a sunset session, returning later to capture the aurora borealis - #northernlights

Reynisdrangar and Reynisfjara 'black sand beach' is a beautiful 2 mile stretch of coast we visited in southern #Iceland. These 3 views give a feel of the absolute vastness of this Icelandic coastline. #dji #mavic3cine #dronephotography

Dyrholaey peninsula is on the southernmost point of #Iceland, the view from this viewpoint on the cliffs is awe inspiring. To the east, the black lava columns of the Reynisdrangar rise out of the sea silhouetted in the sunrise sky. We shot off some drone photos and video which are to follow 🎥
