I’m new to this forum, and wanted to share this new article, which examines how LGBTQ+ activists in Russia are affected by Russia’s war in Ukraine, and the regime’s depiction of queer people as security threats. Open access in Security Dialogue: journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/...

Do citizens stereotype Muslims as inherently homophobic? In a new @bjpols.bsky.social paper w/ @bertous.bsky.social & @michaelhunklinger.bsky.social we answer this question using a double-list experiment across 🇬🇧 🇺🇸 🇩🇪 🇳🇱 doi.org/10.1017/S000... Spoiler: Yes. 🧵

A majority of citizens stereotype Muslims as inherently homophobic. Our new paper (w/ @turnbulldugarte.com & @michaelhunklinger.bsky.social) shows this across four countries 🇺🇸🇬🇧🇩🇪🇳🇱, published in @bjpols.bsky.social. www.cambridge.org/core/journal...

Very pleased to see this new article by the YOUMEM team out today in the European Journal of Political Research. ejpr.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10....

🚨New publication🚨 New article from the YOUMEM project examines ideological congruence in youth wings, introducing a typology of radicals, moderates and aligned members. We find that radicals are more common on the centre-left, tend to have longer membership, but are less politically ambitious.

Conjoint experiments are used to mimic political choices but do not always mirror the real-world decision-making contexts. @davidryanmiller.com & @jeffreymziegler.bsky.social illustrate how abstention vs. forced-choice options can produce significantly different results. doi.org/10.1177/2053...

Pretty much exactly 80 years after the liberation of Auschwitz, the richest man in the world uses the Nazi salute at the inauguration of his close ally as US president. What should rationally not be surprising is still so deeply shocking and simply difficult to comprehend.

New Gender Update out in @ejpgjournal.bsky.social. With data from the new wave of the EES, I show a strong increase in support for the far right among young voters.
