Reading a cookbook today, I found a recipe for chili that called for mustard. Unusual choice. As I ponder this with a mind that has spent the last two weeks obsessing about the halftime show, my brain is now playing an endless loop of Kdot shouting "Mustard!!!"

I encourage lambs quarters to grow in my yard so I can collect the nutritious greens. This year they grew to ridiculous heights and went to seed. The birds love it.

Getting a a cat scan. I get them all the time but this one is different. I'll have to leave the house and spend money. Boo. On the other hand, I have never had a cat scan of the hospital variety. It might be a fun adventure.

Creepy thought of the day: I'm wearing a dead woman's dress. Less eerie: Actually, it was recieved as a hand-me-down long before she died. To be fair: the lions share of my wardrobe is vintage clothing and flea market finds. If clothing can be haunted, I am in big trouble.
