I know this is shocking, but here is more evidence that social media is making people stupid: "The most online generation is also the worst at discerning fact from fiction on the internet." www.politico.com/news/magazin...

In England, do they call a frunk a froot?

Some accountability for one criminal Republican. BUT... Why is he still free? He was convicted a year ago! And he still has another 2 months to remain free even after he is sentenced?! He's obviously a flight risk.

This explains how, not why. The answer to why is either extreme incompetence or maliciousness. www.vox.com/politics/407...

Breaking news: The United States faces millions of measles cases over the next 25 years if vaccination rates for the disease drop 10 percent, according to new research published Thursday.

Like everything else: Who thinks this is a good idea?

More dumbasses realizing (again) that they elected a dumbass (again).

That should do it. Great negotiating, Don.

Obviously. www.npr.org/2025/04/23/n...

Donald Trump stands for nothing. He is entirely transactional. And even then he is a remarkable combination of fraudulent, ignorant, corrupt, spiteful and gullible.

So my read of this is that they are hoping this will go to SCOTUS and SCOTUS will rule in their favor by gutting the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which is to say that science funding is their trojan horse for legalizing resegregation in all facets of American life 🧪

Is this true? Did they actually do one good thing to go along with the 10,000 horrible things?

The convicted felon who has benefitted from due process his whole life wants to remove due process for everyone else.

Rinse and repeat for the foreseeable future.

It's not a coincidence.

US manufacturing is already slowing to levels not seen since the depths of the Great Recession (not counting Covid). I wonder why. Chart from Vox:

How does retreating from the world help the US?

Catching up on fact checks from a few weeks ago: “Hegseth and these other guys would absolutely be sent to prison if we were living in a society of laws, which we’re no longer living in.” www.factcheck.org/2025/03/was-...

Fact check below about other countries putting 200% tariffs on US goods. If you guessed it was a lie, you'd be right about 99% of what Trump ever says. www.factcheck.org/2025/04/trum...

It will reduce quality of life and shrink the economy. Why? If you can’t trust baby food to not kill your kid, you make your own. If you can’t trust toys to not kill your kid you buy fewer toys, focusing on a few trustworthy brands. If you can’t trust planes not to crash you fly less.

Relatedly, he plans to celebrate Earth Day by ordering the IRS to revoke the tax-exempt status of some environmental nonprofits. Sadistic, depraved, and corrupt. www.bloomberg.com/news/newslet...

Trump has gutted food inspection programs at the FDA and USDA — including the committee that investigated last year's fatal Boar's Head listeria outbreak. The USDA is also rolling back safety regulations to “streamline” meat processing. How is this Making America Healthy Again?

Workers who track data on car crashes, drownings, traumatic brain injury, falls in the elderly, and other perils lost their jobs. Advocates worry life-saving work will stop.

You can ask this about everything they do: Staggering incompetence or intentional sabotage? Australia, the UK, Singapore and other countries have trade surpluses with the US so why are they on the tariff list? www.fool.com/research/us-...

It's hilarious how the Wall Street people automatically assumed that Trump would be good for business and then were smacked in the face with the reality that he is one of the dumbest people on the planet. As usual, if he had done nothing, everyone would have been better off.
