Snow is coming back to New Mexico! A storm will bring rain then snow Friday through Saturday. There's a good chance for at least 1" of snow in western and northern New Mexico. Less than 1" is likely in Albuquerque Saturday morning. Over 6" is possible in the northern mountains. #NMwx

High winds and a high fire danger return Thursday afternoon. This could be a bit of a repeat of Monday. Blowing dust could reduce visibility. Don't do anything that could spark a fire! #NMwx #NMFire

We're thrilled to announce this partnership that will bring the game to more New Mexicans over the air and online! And tune in every Thursday for the Black & Yellow Report, an in-depth weekly show with player interviews, previews, recaps and more!

A few places across New Mexico just had the driest Meteorological Winter on record. #NMwx

Today is the last day of Meteorological Winter (December-February). These past three months will go down as Albuquerque's driest and 5th warmest winter on record. This is part of an overall trend of warming winters in Albuquerque. #NMwx

Physically sickened by mass firings at NOAA and NWS...especially as severe weather peak months approaching and hurricane season lurks...and climate changes

Today is a sad and scary day for meteorology. These NOAA and National Weather Service employees are critical to public safety and weather forecasting. These agencies are already understaffed and these cuts will put peoples lives at risk.

The New Mexico State Forester was interviewed in the New York Times earlier this month about federal Forest Service layoffs increasing the risk of wildfires. I'm really hoping for more moisture and a calm spring. archive.is/uU9Lu

⚠️ An unplanned water release from Cochiti Dam is causing a modest wave of water to work it's way down the Rio Grande. There should NOT be any flooding impacts, but water should start rising in the Albuquerque Area by 6 pm and crest as high as 6' around Midnight tonight.

My favorite way to start the mornings. We are so lucky to live here.

Posted at the Piedra Lisa South Trailhead in Albuquerque.

Let's check in and see which full year, since 1940, was the warmest and which one was the coolest. It's as if something has changed.
