Pinterest is the latest casualty of my digital cleanse, with my account being deleted finally. When I scroll a feed and 3/4 posts are ads and the fourth is usually an AI-generated image, it's just not a good place to spend time anymore.

I've been slowly deleting all accounts I can find of mine on websites, and lord some of them make it SO difficult to simply delete my account and info. American Eagle makes you jump through "privacy request" hoops versus just, I dunno, having a "delete my account" option. Just a mess.

I’m so jaded and cynical about corporations and industries asking ME to donate money. The Grammys supporting LA fire relief is great, but seems to me that the music labels and celebrities involved could easily resolve things (financially) with a snap of a finger

I know that calling your representative’s office is typically more effective, but I’m curious if anyone has info on the efficacy of ResistBot? It seems to make it really easy to contact your reps, but is this kind of outreach effective? Or only when combined with calling and protest?
