The right have successfully convinced the world their enemies are obsessed with identity politics when it's all they offer. They make people upset over bathrooms and immigrants while both liberals and conservatives make billionaires richer. The left's messaging must be clear: fuck the rich

If you'll forgive a moment of sincerity, I think Bluesky gives us an opportunity to bridge the rift between the Left and Liberals. I'm not talking about people like Wu or Fetterman, they're Republicans. I'm talking about normal people who, if we're genuine, we can begin to build solidarity with.

In 2017 when the left pushed for Keith Ellison to be DNC Chair over Tom Perez, none of our campaigning mattered at all because, in the end, Obama personally made calls to voting members to lobby for Perez and he won. This will happen again, so don't get your hopes up.
