[GrECI on @Europeana] 💡 Material Heritage GrECI’s Europeana series continues! 🏺 Antiquities in Greece Through the Eyes of Early Travellers This week, our Europeana journey takes us into the world of material heritage as seen through the eyes of 17th- and 18th-century travellers.

📖 Throughout the 16th century, printers experimented with Greek textbook layouts. One famous example is Clenardus' Meditationes Graecanicae (1531), analyzing Basil of Caesarea’s epistle De vita solitaria, with translations by Clenardus & Guillaume Budé. 🏛️📜
