Liked this #dental quote "Urgent only dental care is like putting a wet plaster on a wound that needs sutures"

@rthonwesstreeting.bsky.social if the UMF schemes submitted earlier this year and provisionally approved weeks ago arent formally approved this month then many #GP building schemes planned for 2025 can't happen, and your commitment not delivered. Please intervene.

Surely it's not true #NHS providers are being told to put up posters telling staff their pay rises are generous and confirm how many put up? That's....Trumpian And will be HUGELY counter-productive.

The reported approach to #NHSE #ICB is cruel and frankly reckless. Asking for EoIs to take redundancy before issuing redundancy terms, before issuing structures, before even confirming which ICBs merge with which. Who would think that would give you an actual umderstanding of what's what?

New #UEC plan - I'd say it's decent, in places pretty honest which maybe you'd expect with a relatively new government that's keen to remind us it's a relatively government But doesn't it place too much of the blame for UEC performance on demand? And doesn't that mean the solutions are too narrow?

#NHS vacancies remain above 100,000. (And excludes a lot of 'held' vacancies) Anyone know when it was last below that level?

Congrats to 4 #Devon PCNs and the ICB GP Access team on evidencing the benefits of backing #PCN access enhancements. More continuity of care, less exacerbations. Proved. (Again)

It seems a touch ironic that Labours #NHS won't tolerate unfunded spending commitments, yet has committed to a large scale redundancy programme that's....yes, unfunded. Poor staff - 'we don't want you, but can't afford to get rid of you'

I just don't think any SoSfH should take £9k a month from private providers of health. I have far far far less influence that a SoS but can't have my bus fair paid for me by them. Nor should I.

"Shameful" The Inquiry hears from expert virologist Prof. Deenan Pillay that the Government chose to spend billions on private consultants from Deloitte instead of listening to experts. The labs they set up have since been dismantled. 'We've been left with nothing'.

So sad that we still describe someone as ADMITTING to body dysmorphia.

@rthonwesstreeting.bsky.social need not worry about NHS staff taking strike action as long as his plans for the #NHS are close to credible to those working in it.

No sh*t www.hsj.co.uk/primary-care...

The NHS feels a bit like Trumpland doesn't it. 1) asking acute or community providers to take over turning round failing GP practices (with no evidence base) while... 2) incentivising financially senior managers in acute and community providers to only focus on their organisations outcomes

Committing 47 times as much to prison estate as #GP estate is disappointing.

Massive job cuts in the NHS. Winter fuel allowance smashed. Unprecedented levels of child poverty. Labour's priority 👇🏻

Shouldn't that be 'decay and diabetes' cereal?

This 'answer' is why turnout at elections is low. Can we cut her team in half and require them to function as normal?

Only me thinking 'further and faster' is translating into collapsing the #care system with all the ramifications for #health

We have an acute shortage of #care workers. Home secretary says care worker visas will cease. This appears (like urgent dental) to be Labour constructing a lose / lose for themselves politically.

#NHS cuts is a choice Just as not taxing extreme wealth, not (at least) equalising asset and earnt income tax, not (at least) equalising CGT and IT, not taxing digital business fairly, is a choice
