Coal Bin Compositions I & II

Today was a swell day. Also, what’s up with the grey temples?

I’m a sucker for old machinery, wheels, and rivets. Bankhead mine site.

Bankhead coal train with coal bins up front and miner seats at the back.

Walked from Lake Minnewanka to Bankhead today. Perfect day to wander the ruins.

Met some lovely folks at the Bankhead mine entrance. 🙂

The road to Bankhead is closed for the winter, so @gregphoto403.bsky.social and I parked at Lake Minnewanka and walked there. Had the whole area to ourselves!

Last week there were only 3 spots left for The workshop: Street Photography: Your Portrait of Calgary with George Webber @gregphoto403.bsky.social and me. Sponsored by FujiFilm & @thecamerastoreinc.bsky.social Get your tix now! thecamerastore.com/products/str...
