Here are two photographs of Old Faithful from my trip to Yellowstone National Park last fall. The black and white version is in infrared. I like the way it emphasized the textures in the water, and the way the spray contrasts with the dark sky. Enjoy! #landscapephotography #sonyalpha #yellowstone

We saw a lot of wildlife on last fall's trip to Grand Tetons and Yellowstone National Park. It was really cool to see the bison at Yellowstone. Enjoy! #destinationearth #fantastic_earth #wonderful_places #landscape #landscapephotography #sonya7rv #sonyalpha #sonyimages #yellowstone

Just another morning drive in West Yellowstone along the Madison River at sunrise. Pure magic! Enjoy! #destinationearth #discover_earthpix #fantastic_earth #wonderful_places #awesome_earthpix #ourplanetdaily #landscape #landscapephotography #sonya7rv #sonyalpha #sonyimages #yellowstone

Another arctic front is making it's way south through the US and will get into our normally warmer south Texas area around mid-week so freezing temps in our forecast makes me think of my trip to the Faroe Islands last year. Enjoy! #landscape #landscapephotography #sonya7rv #sonyalpha #faroeislands

Nothing original here but you have to admit it is a gorgeous view! One wonderful thing about photography is it provides an easy pathway to memories of past experiences and wonderful time spent outdoors with good friends. #landscape #sonya7rv #sonyalpha #sonyimages #yosemite #California

I like to have the occasional night out under the stars to photography the Milky Way. These Milky Way photos are blended with 30 stacked exposures of the Milky Way to remove noise, and foregrounds shot earlier. If you look closely you can see headlamps from campsites in the peaks of Mt. Rainier.

Here are some different interpretations of Narada Falls from Mr. Rainier National Park. There is a lot of hidden beauty within the details of any waterfall. Enjoy! #landscape #landscapephotography #sonya7rv #sonyalpha #sonyimages #mountrainier #mtrainier #Washington #nationalpark #waterfall

We had several amazing encounters with local wildlife in the Grand Teton NP that highlighted the trip. Each encounter left us with great stories to share. Enjoy! #landscape #landscapephotography #sonya7rv #sonyalpha #sonyimages #grandtetons #grandtetonnationalpark #Wyoming #nationalpark #wildlife

I loved this view at Mt. Rainier National Park where the yellow flowers running down the face of the rock wall seemed to mirror the water streaming down the wall to provide an interesting contrast. Enjoy! #landscape #landscapephotography #sonya7rv #mountrainier #mtrainier #nationalpark #waterfall

This image is clearly not from our Houston area, but it was really refreshing to wake to anywhere from 1"-3" of snow around the metro area this morning. #landscape #landscapephotography #instanaturelover #sonya7rv #sonyalpha #sonyimages #faroeislands #winter #freshsnow

One feature that I loved about Mt. Rainer NP was the waterfalls, which are fed by glaciers and snow melt. Here’s a full-view shot of Narada Falls. Reposting with Alt Text per a request. I enjoyed a week of photography during last summer's wildflower season at Mount Rainier National Park. #landscape #landscapephotography #instanaturelover #sonya7rv #sonyalpha #sonyimages #mountrainier #mtrainier #Washington #nationalpark

I was fortunate to be able to spend the night at Coyote Buttes South in Northern Arizona's Vermillion Cliffs National Monument. In addition to the geology and terrain, the night sky is spectacular. #photography #milkyway #wilderness

We found this large patch of wildflowers along the trail just as the sun was beginning to set. I worked quickly to compose this scene and determine the exposure settings. What's not to love about a scene with blooming flowers, a setting sun, and an iconic American mountain? Enjoy!
