Litzlberg am Attersee by Gustav Klimt Amalie Redlich inherited the painting Litzlberg am Attersee (1915) by Gustav Klimt from her brother Victor. In 1941, Amalie Redlich and her daughter Mathilde were deported by the National Socialists to Łódź and murdered.

The apartment of the deported Amalie Redlich was cleared out by the Gestapo. Through the Salzburg art dealer and collector Friedrich Welz, the confiscated painting entered the Salzburg State Gallery in 1944. It remained in Salzburg until it was restituted 2011 to Amalie's heir in Canada. #art
