One of my regrets: I think it would be a hoot to speak Old English conversationally, but I can't, because I'd only be able to talk to the kind of person that speaks Old English conversationally.

It’s absolutely true that Trump is claiming the power to disappear ANYONE—you could be next! It’s hard to motivate people with that, though, because nobody thinks it will be them, and 99% of the time, they’re right.

During the Great Depression was something we don't hear much about, called the Great Repatriation, where "Mexicans" were "sent back to Mexico." Most of them were American citizens whose families lived there since before the revolution.
