When I was 16 I took lessons for Irish 4 string tenor banjo. Was gifted great granddad’s 5 string to keep it up. Completely different instrument, so never bothered with it. Luke Kelly had the same type though, so if it’s good enough for him… Trying out clawhammer style and really enjoying it so far.
