A bit of 🏃 around the Clent hills. Sometimes on a 🚲 and 🏊‍♂️ . Love to walk the hills and mountains. Often using bins and a scope. No camera, so all bad photos through a scope.

100+ Redwing took to the trees and chuntered away at St George’s farm, Wyre Forest earlier today #WorcsBirds

Great morning in the Wyre Forest. 3 - 4 Lesser Spotted Woodpeckers in 2 separate areas. 3 Hawfinch and 2 - 3 Marsh Tits. No Dipper. #WorcsBirds

Not the real deal but a cracking looking goose #MiddletonLakes

Day trip to the Forest of Dean. 2 x Hawfinch at Parkend. 3 - 4 distant Goshawk from NFV and a day flying bat at Nagshead. #ukbirding

Early morning visit to #middletonlakes to see the Lesser-spotted Woodpecker. Excellent, prolonged views almost as soon as I arrived. A walk around the reserve after was quiet with the usual fare but did see Water Rail and Kingfisher. #Staffsbirdnews #ukbirds

Ridiculous close views of 5+ Hawfinches @ Parkend first thing. Several hours spent at New Fancy View only revealed several Crossbill. No sign of Goshawk in cold conditions.

At least 15 Hawfinch still at Bewdley #WorcsBirds

11 flew off. #worcsbirds bsky.app/profile/grou...

10 Hawfinch Jubilee Gardens, Bewdley. #worcsbirds

Early morning visit to #middletonlakes Peregrine, possible Merlin (too fast and only a quick view to be 100%) Sparrowhawk, double figure Goldeneye here and Dosthill, 3 GWE, Wigeon, Teal. No sign of BNG for me. #mercianbirding #staffsbirdnews #ukbirding #westmidsbirding

Little Stint phonescoped from the Estuary Tower @slimbridge-wild.bsky.social Found by @andypitt.bsky.social. Later 20+ White-fronted Geese flew in.

Failed on the Bewdley Hawfinches but a walk along Dowles Brook afterwards rewarded me with Dipper and a close feeding Marsh Tit near Lodge Hill Farm #WorcsBirds
