Hello BlueSky 👋 You can now find us @chemicalscience.rsc.org We are delighted to celebrate 15 years of Chemical Science in 2025! Follow Chemical Science for high-quality chemistry research across all topics in chemistry that is free to read and free to publish #ChemSky 🧪

Wishing my Aussie colleagues all the best!

Follow all your favorite @rsc.org journals now on Bluesky! Let the posting begin! 🥳🧪 #chemsky go.bsky.app/QAaTTZ3

Really pleased to see this work published in Organic Letters from Thanthapatra Bunchuay at Mahidol University. Who would have thought that one N atom could make such a difference! Nice structures, even if I say so myself!! pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/...

I just finished watching Random Hearts. It's a movie of the type I think we are missing today. It's the characters that drive the story, and their very human lives. Nowadays, most movies seem to be franchises where it's all about big bangs and the characters could be anyone.

I knew it was going to happen eventually, but it's sad.

Pretty proud to have this one out! rdcu.be/eaLMm

Once again I am forced to send a reminder.

Want to learn how to convert switchable #MOFs in #nanocrystals while keeping their properties? 👇 Deep #microED and electron transport⚡️study Congrats to A.Martinez for making this happen 👏 @ecsanudo.bsky.social E.Burzurí C.Santiago @imdeananociencia.bsky.social onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/...

I am very grateful to @groupharding.bsky.social for the invitation to participate in the #PACCON2025 in Thailand. It has been a very rewarding scientific gathering.

I do think that the needs of industry cannot be the only consideration for universities. Students have diverse needs and at least in chemistry only a small fraction of them go into the industry.

Some pictures from around Khao Yai national park.

PACCON 2025 is about to start. #paccon2025

Fun with ChemDraw and Apple's Keynote (or a bit of a breather from 1 page summaries). Here is an attempt to show ring flipping with simple apps. As always, I hope this us useful for #ChemEd or #Chemistry #ChemSky ... having problems uploading the animated gif

I used to be a member, but cancelled my membership as the organisation was too commercial for my liking. I find it worrying that they've done this. They should be encouraging a conversation that shows the nuance of DEI work.

The DOGE officials should come to Thailand where many grants are do not allow these costs and even those that do are capped at 10%. They will see an ecosystem that constantly struggles to do the best research it's people are capable of.

This is really unbelieveable. Science being attacked simply because it says things the powerful do not wish to hear.

Welcome to bluesky ICMM2025 account ! Abstract submission and registration are now open ! • April 11, 2025: Abstract submission deadline • End of May 2025: Oral or poster presentation notification to authors • June 6, 2025: Early registration deadline icmm2025.sciencesconf.org?lang=en

A really nice obituary by Dave Leigh on Fraser Stoddart's life. www.nature.com/articles/d41... #ChemSky

I am not surprised. It shows that the whole community feels this pressure to publish that we all know is simply unsustainable.
