Got the shingles vaccine (first dose) today with my husband @correonlink.bsky.social. Did you know that the shingles vax can cause diarrhea? I did not, and now I really, *really* do. How did it hit him? Glad you asked. He's sleeping.

Just finished watching The Summit, and the best thing about finishing it is never seeing any of those horrible people again. They are bad people, they deserve bad things.

Snow day! Snoooooooooooooooooow daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! Sadly, I need to catch up on grading and planning and--but there's a kid inside of me yelling SNOW DAY SNOW DAY SNOW DAY

I want food right now so much. Having surgery tomorrow and on a "clear liquid" diet today and all I want is food. I want all the food.

Since the latest school shooting happened in a Christian school (one much like the school I attended from 1st through 8th grade), instead of the usual "thoughts and prayers," conservative politicians who want nothing to change should send "prayers and thoughts."

A note for @tulsigabbardd.bsky.social: When I see someone deliberate misstate the name of my party, I know they aren't talking to me. "For Love of Country: Leave the Democrat Party Behind"? We don't have a "Democrat Party" in the US. The title suggests you aren't really talking to Democrats.

Fascinated by the mainstream media's shocked Pikachu face to the response to the assassination of the UHC CEO. www.nytimes.com/2024/12/07/n... Newsflash: Robin Hood was also popular with poor people, and people generally were pro-French Revolution. Your shock is seriously out of touch, @nytimes.com.

So I like a *lot* about Bluesky. But there's one thing that makes me cringe. Maybe it's who I'm seeing/following, but there seem to be so many people hawking stuff (buy this! buy this!) and asking for money (I need money! help!). It's like half my feed. Is this normal here?
