As a wrestling fan all my life and as someone who has heard it referenced many times on @btsheetspod.bsky.social it was awesome to finally attend a wrestling show at the Knoxville Civic Coliseum. Such a cool place and what a great show it was.

They’re going to call Uecker a player, broadcaster, etc., but he was one of the last Professional Good Time Guys. Drink in hand, assload of stories, friends with everybody. He’ll call your game, be in your beer ad, star in your movie. Always a good time

Agree with this 100% and I also felt the same way when UT had the penalty on 3rd down on the opening drive. Vibe changed immediately after.

Sparta (which we realized later was the non-Mars Volta portion of At The Drive-In) and Dashboard Confessional opened for Weezer in July 2002. The Strokes were supposed to play but I think someone got hurt.
