Angelo Stiller has a €40m release clause.

It will hardly be a revelation but Savinho on the left wing gives real Sané vibes. Him and Bobb on opposite wings will generate everything including control and fear - one of the two has been lacking all season and probably since the treble season.

With Walker going, and the money spent in the other 3 players, it’s easy to see City signing Aina for a bargain price given his versatility and signing someone like Luiz on loan.

Khusanov ❌ Agent led report.

The ever reliable Mattyb. 👇👇👇

It’s scary that they may not actually be playing for the manager anymore, far too many passengers in that team right now. The scary thing is the overhaul needed is realistically probably closer to 7-9 bodies needed, but shifting 7-9 of these players will be the issue.

Pogba, talk to me. 👇👇

Pep’s defiance in the press conference about the squad quality is unnerving. Not expecting him to say get rid of X,Y,Z. But saying all would be okay if he had Gundo and Kovacic in midfield is scary, in fact.

Interesting, 4-6 signings targeted over two windows according to the Telegraph.

It’ll be a European away day tactical master stroke if City pull a victory off tonight, but given their vulnerability lately, it also equally feels that there’s a mistake in City that could kill the game almost instantly.

Bruno G could transform City’s season if he comes back. He could solve 60% of the issues the side currently are facing. Him along with a younger midfielder would be a 10/10 start to revamping the midfield.

Sam Lee said on his podcast that Bruno is really keen on leaving Newcastle and that he’s the midfielder City are most likely to go for in January. He’s a £66m valuation which Newcastle will be open to selling - as seemingly they need to for financial reasons under the new board.

If you know, you know. #Alan

According to Talksport, Ashworth felt sidelined from the big decisions, almost from day one with Berrada and Brailsford calling the shots. Tipping point was Amorim appointment. He favoured a British coach ie. Southgate. Also there there was a clash of personalities.

If it’s true, and Ashworth was escorted out of the back door of Old Trafford (literally) last night, something deeper than a disagreement over policies is at play here.

The left side is getting flanked so regularly. Lewis for Simpson Pusey and shift Gvardiol to the left. Kev looks like he could make anything happen in space.

Bruno Guimaraes makes sense in almost every aspect, but it’s difficult to see Newcastle selling him in January. Only way that deal probably happens is if the player kicks off and that’s very unlikely.

Finished Don Revie’s biography last night and he’s ties to City and almost return on numerous times as a manager left a lot to be desired. I wonder how the 1970s-1980s would have turned out with him in charge? Very sad ending at 61.

In both directions, Jack Grealish 👏👏👏👏

This version of Doku is incredible.

Brilliant performance so far and promising. Aggressive in attack, finding passing lanes, breaking lines. Grealish controlling the tempo and KDB doing KDB things. Tighten it up slightly and it’s near perfect.

In: Frimpong Murillo (Forest) Wharton Zubamendi Nico Williams Simons Out: Walker Stones Gundogan KDB Bernardo Grealish Would be a dream realistic summer but cannot see that much of an outlay/change in one window.

If Ederson leaves next summer, who do you want as a replacement?

According to Sky Germany, Manchester City have also intensified their efforts in recent days to sign Victor Gyokeres. Hugo Viana is currently pushing hard in the pursuit of Gyökeres.

The team being completely spent on ideas is somewhat concerning. There’s almost no link up play, no patterns, no running. Doku’s end product gets regularly critiqued (rightly so) but he’s also got 1 man to aim at in a sea of 10 at times with no one coming short and wide for neat patterns. Flat.

There was enough to see yesterday that the players haven’t given up. They did dig in and battle despite being overrun and making individually errors. They’re out of ideas but thankfully not out of heart and the former will come back.

Foden is arguably in the worst form of his career after the peak of it only 6 months earlier. He’s lost that drive in the middle and almost never getting away any shots.

Stefan Ortega on the 'sacked in the morning' chants: "Someone told me before that this area Liverpool is probably not the best part in the UK. I think the manager reacted really well.
