Maybe I’m high maintenance but I don’t love having my day dominated by constant noise and chatter from the moment I wake up until I go to sleep. Is it that strange to enjoy silence from time to time?

I’ve noticed a potentially unhealthy pattern in myself. When I’m well, I’m happy to just chill and vibe however the case may be. When I’m sick or hurt, I need fresh air, want to reorganize furniture, and suddenly the askew painting I hadn’t noticed since it was put up has to be adjusted ASAP. 😔

Paul’s mother never should have HAD to worry about his cycling in Paris. Cyclists should never be a target simply for seeking alternative transportation. Getting to and from places shouldn’t be determined by affluence and a disregard for our environment and societies, ffs.

Yes! Ditto! I already enjoy sometimes paying for a random persons dinner at a restaurant. Not because I’m wealthy or even well off. And certainly not financially secure enough to do so regularly BUT… sometimes seeing a stranger smile because of a random act of kindness is super healing.

Spotted Max Burkholder right away on the new @smartypantsshow.bsky.social episode tonight and immediately went “WAIT. I KNOW THAT KID! THAT’S MAX BRAVERMAN!” Goes to show. Some characters stick with you long after the show they were part of has ended. Glad to see he’s thriving.
