A mi me encantan.

I'm guessing bcs of him being mormon, I think that's what people most criticize about him

Well, this autor is known for not written sex scenes, most of his romances are arranged marriages and really bland. His thing is cool magic and alien worlds

just start with the first one, "The final Empire", you can read the first 6 mistborn books without worrying about other series. You can read Elantris, Warbraker and stormlight archive whenever you want. But strongly recommended before stormlight 7 "the lost metal"

El is such a cool character, even the epigraphs of row he wrote were creepy as fuck. Sigzil has no chance

Mistborn 1 "the final empire" is the most recommended one

It's a cold war story in the world of mistborn. Apart from that if you search the name the era will have it gives you a clue about who is gonna be important (it's a spoiler of the lost metal and stormlight)
comment in response to post
The break is about stormlight, he'll still write things in the same universe, like Mistborn era 3
comment in response to post
Axies isn't (this is not a spoiler) He's aimian, people with blue skin. they can reproduce with the rest of roshard, Natans are a combination of aimians with another race.

A character from the stormlight archive, a book series

His main thing is making hard magic systems. They are basically their own character in the story, you start knowing very little about them and little by little you end up having fake physics. There are other things, like his worldbuilding, but I think that's his main differentiator
comment in response to post
Apart from this, He said that he regrets not making more female characters in Mistborn era 1 and he's planning on change some characters' genders if there is an adaptation
comment in response to post
It varies a lot from work to work, he really likes the frozen woman trope. But Vin (MC of Mistborn era 1) and Shallan (Main pov of stormlight) are well made imo and those are his main series. IMO He's awfull in politics, specially in stormlight. But I think he tries his best lmao
comment in response to post
Oh about that, just wait a bit heheh
comment in response to post
Hemallurgy is such an interesting magic system, we haven't seen its limits yet, like when it's applied to other planet's magic systems. Apart from that it's the only one from Scadrial that isn't hereditary

I think we have talked about this before hehe. I feel like it really feels like his first published book and it is. That's why I don't like it as a starting point, but if the person is sure that they want to read Brandon, then yes, it's a good starting point
comment in response to post
Stormlight is his best series imo, but A LOT of people feel that the first book is very slow (it's worth). That's why people tend to say Mistborn (the final empire) as a starting point, it's a shorter book and has a satisfying ending
comment in response to post

Brandon will write a text version next year and I don't know if he is gonna add more to it. I'll read that one. But I'll read the comic version someday
comment in response to post
Weird to see someone worried about reading white sand ngl xD.

It isn't bad. But if you are talking with a person that wants to start the cosmere, I'd recommend something that I think it's better (obviously my personal opinion nothing more). Something like Mistborn or the last ovellas he released (Tress or Yumi)
comment in response to post
No, it didn't yet. It released in 16 days
comment in response to post
wait who said that to who?
comment in response to post
They are gonna be 10 books. Let's hope this one closes a lot of of things
comment in response to post
If he's still around there is still story for him, I'm pretty sure about it. It wasn't the case of Amaran or Sadeas for example.
comment in response to post
I wouldn't start with ELantris tho. It's his first published work and it feels like it
comment in response to post
I think you can start with stormlight, I haven't read TWT but I imagine it's the most similar one. But if you want just a try then the other options people mentioned are fine.
comment in response to post
Yep. They are set in different planets of the same universe.
comment in response to post
His stories don't need you to read the others to understand them. Most people start with The Final Empire (Mistborn 1)
comment in response to post
comment in response to post
Yep. He'll write other series meanwhile. For example, he is going to write all of era 3 of mistborn in that time.
comment in response to post
After this one the next will be released in at least 10 years (if everything goes right) so there is a lot of expectation. we'll see heheh
comment in response to post
Oh I thought you were reading the for the first time haha

LOL good luck !

comment in response to post

In live action without it being really expensive (bcs of the amount of cgi needed)
