I would like one of those shirts ! <I am not sure that the deliberate and funny error wouldn't drive me insane though; I'd have to keep explaining to people that "yes, I know...it's meant to be funny...don't you get it....yes, spelling and grammar are important...".>

Pollard Row - Bethnal Green, London "advert" on bus stop. Genius!

Although I am not a Christian, I'm a Humanist, I know the Christian Bible, or, in this case, and more accurately, the written Torah, or Pentateuch, fairly well. Exodus 32:1-6 Trump, Musk and broligarchy already worship a golden "statue". It's made of $$$$$.

..there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. Only yesterday it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes.

@erininthemorning.com Since Trump's election last year, I've been reading up more deeply on the rise of fascism in Europe. I have to say, reading your posts here sent a literal chill down my spine. What can non Americans do to support you, in addition to supporting LGBTQI+ rights at home?

Well ask an oil lobbyist and you'll get Trump's "drill baby, drill". Not exactly surprising. As for avoiding a trade war, yes I get that, but really? caving into Trump & Musk & Putin? Isn't Europe (not just the EU) better, greener, and stronger than that - together?

In a horrible way, at least it's out in the open now for all to see. The metaphorical cat is out of the bag. People have talked about Putin and Trump for years. What can those of us from abroad do to support all of you in the USA trying to save your country from Musk, Trump, and their sycophants?

Hopefully you'll get to visit Austria again, sooner rather than later Don!

I believe she is misinformed about the American Health System being "the envy of the world". That would be a big fat "no".

Skynet. First thing that popped into my head when I read that.

In the nicest possible way, this is both good news and bad news. I don't think I could take the American style razzamatazz, breathless high energy 'analysis' and endless too frequent advert breaks. I loathe those stupid overlays that you get in American football. Good to have wider coverage though!

Why does everyone seem to think that Elon Musk is a genius? Where's the evidence? Seems to me it's a lot of appropriation of other people's efforts and ideas?

Perhaps it's just me, but I don't find that funny, knowing the bad relationship the two have, and then to put Hoshoryu in that position? Cheap laughs at Hoshoryu's expense.

Asashoryu sounds like an appalling man. The way he gave advice to Kinbozan, then tried to muscle in on his nephew's Yokozuna promotion festivities? Poor behaviour. I don't think Asashoryu has ever got over the fact he's no longer ナンバーワン/numero uno, and indeed left the sumo world under a cloud.

that was meant to read "conscious betrayal by Trump", but the more I think on it, he's both vain enough to be flattered and stupid enough not to notice.

Despite falling into general abeyance, it persisted in Ireland until January 2020. It was a requirement of the 1937 Constitution until removed after a 2018 public referendum. A few more fundamental Catholics even attempted to bring a case against Stephen Fry for this www.youtube.com/watch?v=-suv...

I think Dr. Maggie is such a great advocate for black/women in science and science generally. She's got a nice way about her, and explains things well for people who aren't so technical. I'd love to hear her speak in person...one day!
