This one was my 'careful framing and angle' shot.

There's a lodge near. They use the thicker pieces to build that, and the thin green stuff is groceries. If you see a lot of pencil sized branches stripped of bark, that's 'goin to the safeway'. Pieces this size, it's 'goin to the Home Depot'.

Most other trees, this is death. This ash shrugs it off cuz it's adapted to live where the R.O.U.S. does. Alder works the same way, pulling water up through the middle wood, not just the bark. So they get along, tho it looks like they don't.

Some older work of theirs, the R.O.U.S.'s re-arrange the forrest products. This ash tree variety doesn't die from this, but instead formulates a new plan and drives on.

R.O.U.S.'s I assure you, Westley.... they exist.

'Tis time! We must needs go look at the river swamp while the air is warm and the spring hasn't sprung yet. Gotta go see what the Rodents of Unusual Size have been at.

Finally got all the boards attached, and the front trim on. This angle chosen, cuz it doesn't show the snaky curves in the roof line caused by me not doing an alignment of the ribs before I started roofing it. Align your ribs fore/aft before you start roofing it, y'all. Save you some hassle.

The pair seem to be here every day, if you go out at the right time to watch. Still don't know where they're shackin up, but it's gotta be close.

Haven't been up there to see if anyone is moving in yet... But I think I'd hear it if they were. I want another layer of platform on, so if not then that'd be my chance.

Moss. It's where it's at, yo?

Rain raised the river, and now the dock is floating. Just like it's sposed to.

It's my job. Muh jawb, yo? Pick it up, put it down...

Since I have defended and supported the WaPo in the months since the election and the infamous pulled endorsement, I feel obliged to say: this is very, very bad. A dear friend at a Post vet says it's the worst thing to happen to the Post in its long history, and I can't argue.

Heddar found a neat skull down in the river swamp! From the wedge shaped nose-to-eye-socket proportion, and the canine tooth sockets, and the size, Imma say it's a fox! Still waiting to see a fox, but this is evidence they've been here. Unless it's coyote, and I'm wrong about the wedge proportion.

Driveway puddles are waaay better than you think, apparently....

Lots of complexities in this one.... Cropped out the cluttery foreground, so it has a lot of sky, so just ignore all that and look at all those complexities..... stare deeply into the complexities.... You are getting mesmerized... by the complexities....

Yodel Pup!

See em? Waaaay off in the treetops, down in the port, two eagle juvies have a new nesting site. Oh, and this is how you know those fake pictures of bald eagle babies with white heads are fake. These eagles are about 2-3 yrs old, and will get their white head and tail next year.

Snow sliding down off the face of a solar panel that is slightly warmer than conditions.

Finally got the stand-out strings on the lower run, so now they umbrella themselves when it snows. When it stops, just push em back into place. It was snowing hard while I did it, so they show that accumulation, but as it's warmed up now they have cleared themselves completely, no broom needed.

They do not appear to have noticed..... Have to give it up for just how well this creature is built to deal with wet cold.

Mornin'

He's the edge of a nasty weather event. Disaster-type weather due to cultural climate change, hand-in-hand with atmospheric climate change. We did this to ourselves, though most of us don't see clearly how we built it. But *unbuild it or *live/die with it, that's the choice. Get your boots on.

I have seen feature films on Mystery Science Theatre 3000 that were better cinema than what I just wasted 2 hrs of my life on. Batman and Robin, featuring Mr, Freeze and Poison Ivy. I srsly can't believe money was spent making that.

Local residents confronted and drove off neo-Nazi demonstrators waving large swastika-emblazoned flags along a highway overpass on Friday in Evendale, Ohio, home to a historically Black community that has endured a long history of racism.

Trumpeter swans overflight this morning, in the cold grey light.... You can tell it'd them comin' from over the treetops before you see em, cuz the sound of the honk is a lot deeper pitch than the gooses.

Hand wringing and pearl clutching are what allowed all this to build. Find a way to act that can be quantified. I'm paying off debt and reducing monthly payout liability. A greenhouse, frost frames, and some canning jars also would count as tangible. Shitcan your FB.

The ones at the very top are at this angle so they will shed snow readily. And they are getting that proof now. They are too high to sweep off, unlike the other two rows. If you are planning a build, I recommend a near vertical set for the winter snow events, and then tilt back to the sky afterward.

Steel conduit pipes fit perfectly in the underside of the ridges, providing more support for walking on it or leaning ladders. These are labeled '1/2 in', which is 3/4 on the outside. Some other metal roofing with deeper ridges would take the next size up.

Dinosaur tracks.... The applicable dino.... Quack.

Remember... He's there to break things. Not to fix them. The Foxers, in their temper tantrum, WANT him to cover the floor of the china shop with shards. Keep your head down and see to your people.

progress report....The boards support the overhanging eaves that have no rib. Also provide a place to walk, and finally the solar panels will mount to them.

Recently spotted this new neighbor around the skyways. They are watching me do primate things outside.

Frosty mrning, eh? Roof panels are nearly there. Gotta lotta screws to run in still, these are just held in place by a few. But it's easy once they're on to just go up with a bucket of screws and run em all in. If it ain't precipitating, that is. Hurry up, now.....

When you wanna put the roof on, but you know ladders are the spawn of satan here to kill you, so you build a rolling platform out of your utility trlr. Git r dunn.

It's a pretty good neighborhood
