Who will you help today? It's very difficult for 1 person to survive in the forest by themselves. Even a relatively mild forest like the Pacific Northwest. It's much easier for 6 people to survive. Humans naturally want to work as a group and help each other.👍🏿 600,000 people is called Portland.
