I'm currently doing something that was unheard of only a few years ago. I'm adding 6 Tb of storage to an online RAID spread across 6 disks. It has taken 1 Day 22 hours thus far reconstructing / rebuilding the RAID. The previous 4 Tb was installed offline in the same time frame.
