Just dropped...a podcast where I talk about my creative practice: open.spotify.com/episode/4Zw4...

The green man spirit awakened.

Mother's Day Gift idea #2061. I'm sure all your inboxes are flooded with corporations trying to flog you throw-away tat for mother's day, but just a little thought that maybe your Mum would like to join a lovely bunch of people and have a lot of fun making some linoprints...

Last Saturday I taught a Tetrapak print workshop and during the workshop I made a new little Tetrapak print myself. This is my Skylark Tetrapak plate, engraved and inked and ready to print. I've started to hear the Skylarks out in the fields and it is such a restorative sound after a long winter.

What I'm currently cutting...

A sunny Sunday here so I'm up early giving you a sneaky look at the linocut I'm currently working on, plus the flyers for my next workshop. Enjoy the day!

Note to self - artists that didn't go to art school

Led a fantastic Tetrapak Print Workshop this morning. Everyone made superb prints and had a lot of fun. Take a look at the great work. Printing plates made from juice cartons and all printed using a Pasta maker! If you fancy having a go at this then drop me a comment or message

Had a bit of a Sour Cherry/Cherry Plum moment at lunchtime.

Thought I'd photograph my Fieldfare and Snowdrops linoprint with the last of the Snowdrops for this year. They've brought the hope of Spring, now they can lie dormant until next year.

For those who love your mothers..... Sissinghurst Castle Linoprint I'll be sending out orders until the 21st of March and then I'll be taking a little break until the 29th of March. handmadebyhaggy.etsy.com/listing/1749...

It's #PrintPromptMonday and the prompt is #water so what better than a linoprint of Sedna the Inuit Goddess of the Sea.

My finished Fieldfare and Snowdrops linoprint. On a cold January night I read that the word Fieldfare means 'traveller through the fields' and that, plus a longing for the first signs of Spring, the Snowdrops, kindled the idea of this print. handmadebyhaggy.etsy.com/listing/1884...

Listening to a whole lot of #jonimitchell in the sunshine on #internationalwomensday today.

I am not wearing a coat. *Frolics to the bus stop*.

Come to my next linocut workshop on 26 April near Faversham #Kent and enjoy creating your own unique individual linoprints. Trust me, it feels really good. See poster for the full details. Book at handmadebyhaggy.etsy.com Linoprint by Lizzie Thunder, created at one of my previous workshops.

One of the most important things when making linoprints of text is to ensure the text is #flipped vertically on the linocut so it flips back the right way when printed! #PrintPromptMonday

Early evening walk in my local area

Third layer printed, I went for inking up the block then blotting and printing a ghost print to get that subtle speckly translucent brown. Very pleased with how this is shaping up. One terrifying layer left to print! #linoprint #printmaking

A great day at an Experimental Monoprinting workshop led by @erinbyrne-artist.bsky.social at @creek-creative.org. I made many prints, but this is my favourite - a delicate monotype print of Kit's Coty Dolmen, Kent and the Acetate it was made from. I'm an ever faithful @stoneclub.bsky.social member!
