Tonight (and for the next 2-3 weeks) hundreds of millions of birds are going to be streaming overhead in the eastern half of North America. They evolved to rely on star/moon light, our overnight lights can disorient them and lead to their deaths. Get your overnight lights out, eastern US!

The City Nature Challenge starts today! It's simple: find wildlife, record photos or sounds, and upload your observations to iNaturalist from April 25-28, 2025. Bonus: any observations you make in Hamilton will also contribute to the ongoing Natural Areas Inventory (NAI)!
