Stress manifests in weird ways, amirite? Here I am at 59 yrs & kinda sleepwalking/cooking in the night. Gotta figure this out cos I could def start a fire. It’s happened 4 times in 3 weeks. Last night I didn’t turn on the stove, but I put peanut butter on a tea towel & tried to eat it. Yep.

And I am an ally. If you are too, let the world know.

Brilliant protest. Yosemite National Park workers hung an upside-down American flag — traditionally a symbol of distress or a national threat — thousands of feet off the ground on the side of El Capitan.

Hare riding a hound with a trained snail of prey - Jeremy, is that you? in an earlier incarnation?? Pontifical of Guillaume Durand, Avignon, before 1390

We found this image of the extinct giant penguin in our archives and now you have to see what we see.

The only reason I still have a FB account is the “porch goose club of America” group. I love these geese, and their enthusiastic owners. (I’m only the lookout for a goose of my own).

I left the house at 3pm & just got home now, almost 7pm. I had to go to UPS, Cda Post and Chitchats. It’s usually a one hour round trip. A combo of slippery roads and new snow meant walking much of the way across downtown (no streetcars running east or west). Whole body is twitching with fatigue

It’s gorgeous out, if a bit chilly (wind gusts are making a balmy -7C feel like -20 Celsius. I saw 2 dachshunds (one had to be rescued from a snowbank by mom after an unfortunate leap). And 3 snowmen. Also, the rental bikes are deep under the snowbank.

Just packing up some sticker orders from my Etsy shop (pricklycactuscollage.etsy.com) - do you have a fave? Mine is the polite nibbly vampire cat.

To give you an idea of how much snow we’ve had since Wednesday - this is the very top of a bench on the waterfront pathway. The top. The part you sit on is somewhere underneath, entirely buried. Snow zone friends, show me your pix.

Keith Haring died of AIDS aged 31 on 16 Feb 1990. One of his last works, Unfinished Painting, was deliberately incomplete, reflecting the devastating, unquantifiable loss to the arts due to AIDS. #LGBTplusHistoryMonth

Snow is really coming down again (7 inches since noon yesterday, another 7 on the way). It's snowing sideways past my window, which is always fun to look at but kinda wild, too. In other news, I went to Toronto's Queer Slow Dance last night, for the first time. It was lovely.

Can anyone provide guidance on buying a wok? Best place in Toronto, does it need seasoning (like a cast iron pan) etc etc etc?

Been a slow snowy day here, with 10 to 12 inches messy snow once this storm is over. Meantime I’m sketching out t-shirt designs, like this one (a draft). What shirts would you like to see? I’m always down for more #bisexual merch.

Sending some love and a virtual whisker twitch from head of household, Mx Luna Tuna Casserole. Hang in there! xo

The Stonewall Inn released a response to the National Parks Service removing the word transgender from the park outside of the Inn. A great reminder that we have to look after each other

One of our supporters shared this with us—people are getting creative tonight!

I am hosting a press conference this morning in Ottawa in preparation for National Flag Day. I will be discussing the grassroots steps being taken to fight back against the tyrant in Washington. Have you signed the Pledge for Canada? This is an important vision statement. engagement-canada-pledge.ca

Continuing with my fascination with queer nature - here’s Jeremy, the counter clockwise snail - www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2017...

If you were to imagine a perfect (think smallish) bi/pan/queer community celebration what would it look like for you? Mine would be a birthday party for Jonathan, world’s oldest (#bisexual) tortoise- w/ bday cake, sofas, zine exchange, tortoise crafts, open mic & maybe a silent disco. You?

No fucking way. Why are all of our institutions acquiescing to this bullshit. Parks department??? Unfuckingbelievable. Makes me want to learn how to bust in and change it all back. Is there a school for hackers?

Today was the second #queermunity support group at PMCC, with other queer cancer folks - we did a valentine craft (a love letter to ourselves) and a discussion on body image, queer love, community and more. So grateful for the Sexual and Gender Diversity in cancer care project.

If you see this, quote post with a beach photo from your gallery - I liked this so much I thought I’d share some more beach photos hiding in my phone. The first is in Newfoundland, the second in Ireland.

Sugar Beach (downtown Toronto) and cool fact: used to be a parking lot now it’s a wee little beach with pink umbrellas and Adirondack chairs. It’s directly across from the Redoath sugar factory. #toronto #citybeach #yyz #bibeachbabe #sugarbeach

I’ve been taking a cooking class at the TDSB (Toronto school board) on Tuesday nights. It’s specifically North Indian vegetarian. I made these 4 dishes at home tonight (practice makes perfect)- Khichri with peas and carrots, raita with cucumber, tomato and onion, Aloo Gobi, and Dal fry.

So, an encyclopedia has more gumption than google. And by gumption I guess I mean balls? Anyways, thank you, @britannica.com

Buttons! A final proofread and then sending them on their way to The Third Planet in Lawrence, Kansas.

What planet am I on? Is this just a bad fever dream?

The depths of stupidity in this administration baffle me. Anyone have the deets on other universities doing samesies? What uni is this?

Yo, google. WTF??!!!

Ireland! We need just 1,483 ppl who are Irish nationals to sign this EU petition to initiate a ban on LGBTQ conversion therapy* across the EU. The UN considers such ‘therapy’ to be mental torture. #SpeirGorm Please sign & share with all EU citizens that you know: eci.ec.europa.eu/043/public/#...

Dentist: have you been clenching your jaw lately? Me: have you been reading the news lately?

Massive headache and dizzies tonight, so am going with the tried and true: a large coffee, three extra strength Tylenol, and some Voltaren cream for my neck. Hoping for a reset very soon. What are your go to fix-it’s for headaches?
