I read books and then write things about them. I think about Decay a lot. What if we built something’s end into its creation?

The creepy AF Muskrat may or may not be leaving. Dump says he's not. Muskrat is crying because people hate him. Again, the Doge-bag kids, are still there terrorizing Fed workers, stealing your data, and destroying agencies. Stay frosty folks. Don't believe the hype.

I'm still off socials for a few more days but I came #onhere cuz my sister just shared this article w/ me. I can't stress enough that it is BULLSHIT & pressure must stay on Musk's NECK. Gratitude to all of us who picketed as part of #TeslaTakeDown. Work continues. www.nytimes.com/2025/05/28/u...

TACO.

Another win!!! Now release him. A federal judge just ruled that the law used to detain Mr. Khalil is likely unconstitutional. Why? Because it’s too vague and was never meant to apply to someone like him a U.S. resident who never left the country.

There is zero ZEROOO doubt in my mind that AI cults are going to be huge. I don't mean, like, "I LOVE AI SAM ALTMAN IS SENPAI" I mean like, "I have used AI to tap into the deep secrets of the ancient, forgotten texts that tell the future and it tells me that /you/ have been /chosen/...to follow me."

Falling in love with Portland in real time..

Tom Homan, one of the top officials behind the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown, is facing questions after it was revealed he was paid by a private prison company that stands to profit from the government’s detention policies.

We love to see it.

Pretty sure they said the same thing about seatbelts killing the automotive industry…

‘They say, We leave you our deaths. Give them their meaning.’ —Archibald MacLeish Remembering the fallen this Memorial Day, we can consider our own duty to strive so that our lives and our country are worthy of the price they paid.

Black people cannot cure racism because it is not OUR problem. It is white people’s disease. Period. It’s contagious. Yes. But until yall decide to cure that cancer, we will continue this cyclical dehumanization of others

Even after all this, the @nytimes continues to normalize it

George Floyd should be alive today. He should be raising his daughter, living his life. 5 years later, we owe him more than thoughts and hashtags. His daughter said, “My daddy changed the world.” Let’s stop failing her, and him. Congress must pass the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act.

In case y'all missed it - Utah Republicans ordered a study on transgender healthcare, expecting it to come back unsupportive. Instead, it found that trans youth care was safe and effective, and that transgender youth need it. Whoops. www.sltrib.com/news/politic...

Like I said a few times before, it was NEVER about campus protests or anti-semitism. It was always about seizing control of higher education through govt blackmail and coercion.

Nothing but the best

Nearly three years before the Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin knelt on George Floyd as he cried that he couldn’t breathe, Zoya Code found herself in a similar position: handcuffed facedown on the ground, with Chauvin’s knee on her. Code said she began pleading: “Don’t kill me.”

THIS is the kind of reporting we need. Thank you

at a punk show where there’s free hrt at the merch table. we’re gonna be alright y’all

We're in the season of outdoor movie screenings, concerts, street festivals, block club barbecues etc... across the North East, Midwest etc.... These are PRIME opportunities for disseminating information directly to people. Ask some of these venues if they will allow tabling. Bring materials & share

In advance of yesterday's Why Make Zines in 2025 event, @marc-fischer.bsky.social made a zine of his responses to the question. He shared free copies with everyone in attendance yesterday. I loved that. I brought zines to give away too as well as some buttons and stickers.

America cannot long remain free, nor first among nations, if it becomes the kind of place where universities are dismantled because they don't align politically with the current head of the government.

The GOP’s “Big Beautiful Bill” is Robin Hood in reverse: it takes from the poor to give to the rich.SNAP (used to be Food Stamps…which Tabby and I used back in 1972) is gone. Medicare is going.

Why are accepting this? Secret police?

This is a really important read for many people out there, as this has been erroneously reported. The spending bill DOES ban HRT from Medicaid, which is horrific. It does NOT ban ACA/Private plans from covering it, as Gillian Branstetter of the ACLU lays out in her thread here.

The GOP is trying to pass a law saying Trump cannot be held accountable for anything by the courts and circumventing the filibuster by hiding it a budget reconciliation. It seems unconstitutional and the SC COULD easily throw it out if challenged. robertreich.substack.com/p/the-hidden...

i think it is bad that high level public officials do not respect the offices they hold or the public they are supposed to serve

If you are in a district where the House Rep voted NO [either Dems of GOP], take a minute today to thank them and to ask them to go out on the road while on recess to SPECIFICALLY share that this bill is going to kill people.

The fascist win if you lose your compassion for other people. That's part of the war. You have to keep compassion.

The bill is still a mess but this is a win. Thank you, America. They heard you. House Republicans have dropped the provision that would’ve sold off 500,000 acres of public land in Utah and Nevada.

I've been preaching to the choir over the past couple of days because the choir needs the sermon. We need to encourage each other and we need to be reminded to stay in the fight.

first they came for the white South Africans, and I didn't speak out— because no one is coming for the white South Africans, you deranged paranoid lunatics. what the fuck is wrong with you

Protest works. Durable protest works even better. Keep pushing, #teslatakedown. www.newsweek.com/tesla-spacex...

We should be investing in rural communities and making them better places to build a life & raise a family - not shutting down rural hospitals by choking off their funding. Saving rural hospitals is one more reason to call your Representative and speak out against this GOP attempt to cut Medicaid.

Not quite. Habeas Corpus is not just for American citizens or people who are here legally, @slotkin.senate.gov. It would be helpful to remind everyone that the Constitution protects ANY person that's in the United States. Not just citizens.

The Justice Department is dropping police reform agreements with Louisville and Minneapolis, which came after the killings of Breonna Taylor and George Floyd

Kristi Noem incorrectly defined habeas corpus as the president’s right to deport people. Huh? That’s… not even close.
